Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

Cherished Adan made me the wonderful MeMe that spread into the Cat Blogosphere like liquid catnip!
Sweet bunnies comfort my mommy so much

A purrrrfect All Hallow's Eve Mickey

Cats by a favorite German artist of mine.

I just adore their moon shaped faces. If I painted, this would be a self portrait>(^,^)<

Many moonfaces came to be with me this week.

I was surrounded by all of your love each moment!
You came to leave calling cards by the hundreds from near and far all over this earth...day and night I was never alone.

In this, I see my beloved Moonshine Mickey
Kim Jacobs is a favorite artist of mine for years. Her watercolors are so pastoral and filled with cats...

This is how I wanted to spend the week, with my sweet Miss Peach tucked into my arms.
A vision of the first cat in my life.

This past week has been very hard on me and mommy. She often took comfort and respite on your blogs even if she did not leave a calling card. Today I will share some images she has looked at in her photo album this week. Random beauty just like all the cats of the Blogosphere. Hope you enjoy them and I wish you all a very safe and Happy All Hallow's Eve>(^,^)<

Finally Peach Eats!

My beloved fur is finally a little bit hungry. So many purrrrayers have been answered for the moment. One moment at a time...this is a very good moment!

Mommy woke me this morning with a tasty treat. I gave her the first loud meow she heard in a long time:) To thank you for all of your good wishes and many purrrayers during your visits to my side, I have this to show you. A before and after photo of my saucer.
Blogger was bad last night...I will try to learn how to post a video I made later:) and tomorrow I will have a surprise for you all!
Today is a happy day here at the cottage!! I love you all so much!

Last night as we watch our BOSTON REX SOX win the World Series for my sweet Peach, she sat on Lapdaddy's chest...all soft and quiet...she came on her own without any coaxing:)
This frosty morning I put this weekends cans of cat food out on the front porch step. My hope is that some wandering stranger will find themselves a good meal.
Again the litter box trip was was successful and Peach drank from her fountain some. Even though she did not eat any kibble, she was interested in the process of it being offered to her. After she ran back to her cozy bed, I brought her a can of Turkey Fancy Feast. Her ears perked when I popped the lid and she sniffed the air. I watched on my knees as she actually took two bites! Not mear licks but bites. "I hope you are happy now mommy. Now go drink your coffee and let me sleep!" Indeed I was very glad. She gave me a little gift which I returned with one of my own. I spread the white roses that the Lapdaddy had for me at the airport Wednesday night out before her on her bed. A bed of roses for a tiny precious faithful cat. Miss Peach likes pretty things and sniffed them before going back under her covers.....sleep well for the day marches on and mommy will be back to tempt you again later.
I have had four cats in my adult lifetime. My first was a pretty ginger boy name Baeba. He was mine for 13 years from the time I married at 17. He traveled with me from Germany to a cozy chalet in the mountains of Fairfield Pennsylvania where he spent the year hunting the mysteries of the woodlands in each season. He lived out his life back in Germany until kidney failure took him from me. Then a little blue~gray Persian girl name Miss Minka came to be my companion for the next 18 years. She was small like Peach but very feisty! We traveled the world also. She liked the rolling Flint Hills of Kansas where cats would wander the yard and keep her rushing from window to window as she kept our homefront safe! She traveled with us to Heidelberg for several years then back to Kansas and finally to Washington. My beloved Dennis became her Lapdaddy and a bond was formed that lasted for 10 years. Miss Minka was not a big eater and she developed kidney problems also as she got older. Being so tiny, I never wanted to let her go outside. She was an aristoCAT and I wanted to keep her safe. Dennis purrrrsueded me to change my mind and let Minka roam the gardens in our yard. I knew I did the right thing when she strolled through the hosta plants and found a favorite spot under the huge leaves. Each summer that spot became her shady haven and she would rush to greet us when we got home from work. She sleeps there still ...wrapped in her fleecy...deep and still. Then Miss Peach found her way into our lives to be a comfort to my dying mother...now I will return the favor and comfort Peach as long as she allows me the privilege.

Mommy is taking lots of Vitamin C because she is sick too and I am giving her the gift of drinking water!

Sunday is GOD's day of blessings at our house always! Today HE indeed Blessed us all because I now have a few spoonfulls of can food in my tummy willingly! A little fuel to keep my 4 pounds of kittiness going for the day! I also drank lots of water this morning, from my bowl, my fountain and from the faucet in the kitchen sink. Mommy lifted me up because she didn't want me to fall back down again like I did Friday. My beans are so happy today that I am having a good start. Can you believe that Jeter thinks the BOSTON RED SOX are dediCATing the World Series to me!!?!??! Mommy will leave the TV on tonight so I can watch while she and Lapdaddy go to Church. Hope they get back home real fast! There is no place like home....no place better than home filled with love and comfort and compassion and humility. Mommy is learning buckets of things from me this week. As I am learning from ALL OF YOU my dearest friends. When mommy and I sat quietly together last knight, we saw angels sitting all around us in the dim light....guardians to keep the emptiness away.

I shared a happy day with mommy and the lapdaddy today...we snuggled on the floor...we watched the BOSTON RED SOX woop Colorado...I watched mommy smile as I suddenly darted off of my bed and rushed to hop up on lapdaddy's chest. I think I purrrrrred a little as I sat there warming myself close to his heart. When mommy went into the kitchen, I followed her. She quickly opened a can of fancy feast but all I did was lick it a little to make her happy then I went back to my blue fuzzy bed for the rest of the evening.

I wanted to show you the pretty card I got in the mail today. Mommy said Hope is a thing with wings. The crane knows which way it has to fly. A wise cat knows how to follow...

Bless you all so very much for coming to visit me today and showing me so much Love and Hope. You have left me 254 calling cards from all the farthest reaches of the world since mommy came home...I am never alone

This cold and frosty morning we spent snuggled up on the floor. Peach was warm and cozy in her fleecey covered with you kitties who came from all over the world bringing gifts of love, purrrrrs, comfort and encouragement with you. There is no finer time in ones life than when the paws of a friend reaches for yours. Love can bare all things...

Mommy brought me a gift too. The sweater she wanted me to wear for Skezzix Halloween costume contest. She didn't put it on me because I am too weak. I really like it though because it has fuzzy black stuff all around it that reminds me of spiders I liked to chase out on the patio in the summer. It is a sweet looking jack~o~lanters face on the front. I buried my face under it and went back to sleep....dreaming of the cats who went before me and what a grand reunion it will be when I finally make it to the end of the journey. I will stay just a bit longer...it is October and the vista is golden...I am not afraid for I know my destiny.

All this comes from this tiny kitty curled up in my lap. How can she purr at a time like this? She has not eaten in days and sleeps more than Sleeping Beauty.

I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from each one of you who visits me. Please know how my heart is touched and strengthened by it. I pray that each of you hugs the one you love right now and that the weekend brings you many blessed moments. Mommy and I will be completely attached to each other... and we will visit you if we can.

UPDATE~2:30 Miss Peach has been sleeping well most of the day on her blue fuzzy. I put a heated pad under it to keep her warm. I carried her to the litter box because she was so wobbley on her little legs. We did have a little pee and then drank lots of water at the fountain. However, not even butter could tempt her today. She seems to be such a strong kitty, not complaining at all and comforting me with headbunks and rubs my tears off my cheeks. How can I be so weak and selfish and she be so in control of herself during this time. What a lesson can be learned from our beloved furs! My heart is so comforted by your many wishes that you leave here for us...I treasure each and everyone of you so much...those I know..... and those kind strangers who just come to drop off love for a sad human being and her mighty fine cat on a journey we find hard to make.

Today we stayed real close to each other. Mommy and me. All of YOUR loving hearts with your purrrrs and purrrrayers comforting our restful moments. Thank you for being with us today. Nothing is finer than the love of a friend.
Please keep the animals suffering from the wrath of California's fires in your thoughts. We are so lucky to be safe.....sad, but safe.

Please purrrr, purrray and keep us all in your thoughts from now on. I came back from my trip to find my darling little ginger girl has taken a turn for the road we never want to travel down....

Miss Peach is not eating anymore and drinking very little. Baby food will not even tempt her. I put down my suitcase, cuddled her in my tearful arms and she gave me headbunks...

I drew her a warm bath to clean her matted furs and she didn't even protest with her little meowz like before.

We snuggled together in front of the fireplace all evening and I wanted to bring her to my bed, but she didn't want to move. I got my pillow and a blanket and lay down next to her on the floor to keep her company until four...then I came back in again at nine to do the same. SO many nights we shared my bed as she purrrrred comfort to me while she lay in the crook of my arms under the down comforter. I just had to lay down with her this time to return the comfort.

This morning she tried to jump up on the counter....and for the first time she fell back down, being to weak to do what came so easy just weeks ago.....I am just heartbroken knowing what the journey down this road will hold for us in the next precious moments of time...

Please think of us...I love you all so...

Miss Peach and her sad mommy and Lapdaddy

Peach drank lots of water from her fountain and is curled up asleep infront of the fireplace on her fuzzy blue blanket now. When she ran in from the kitchen, I heard the water slushing in her belly...oh dear me...I am crying buckets. Thank you for being with me during this...you can only imagine how much I love and need you all right now. Karla
