MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

ROMANTIC CAT ART SUNDAY...

A look back at last year's promise fullfilled....
Winter still has his icy grip over the countryside far and wide....but our hearts are warm and filled with hope... for tomorrow comes February with it's promise of renewal and love. We wish you so much of it. The wonderous thing to remember about LOVE...is that it doesn't become such... until you give it away....
A sweet doggie wears her heart for all to see...Melvin tells me that she had a puppy with a heart marking also!
I am so lucky to be loved by my dearest husband cat Mickey....I love how he lays in his photos like a purrrrrfect Valentine!
I still remember when we had our first date...he came here to the cozy cottage and we walked around the garden and I showed him all the flowers...
A purrrrfect love....he has my heart
This cute kitty can never forget that it is a cat!!

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC?

Do you believe in magic...click here and see a cat that does! Somedays I wish I could just go to one place and come out another. Mommy does too. She wishes she could go into her little bathroom and come out of a beautiful one with a claw footed slipper tub and Boston ferns hanging in the window as the ocean breezes play with the lace curtains like in her favorite Kim Jacobs painting. She also would like to listen to 'The Continental' and have Fred Astaire reach out for her hand and ask her to dance! Lapdaddy wishes he could go into his one car garage and come out of Norm Abram's workshop. Mommy wishes that I would go into my litter box for the reason it was intended and not make it my sleeping chamber again! All of us at the cozy cottage wish we could stand in front of the mirror and erase some time...think about what magic you would like to happen in your life, if you could go someplace and come back from another... and let me know. I wish the next time Hunny Bunny goes through the pet door that she finds herself on a Hollywood movie set...she is very pretty I must admit. If she became a big movie star, then she would stay gone and could just send her paycheck home to the cozy cottage so we can feed all the strays in the garden...ahh the stuff of dreams...but I really wish that when a sick or hurty kitty goes to the vet...it would come back healthy. So many of my friends are in my special thoughts right now...Hansel, Halloween, Elin, Vashti and dear Camie...shall we dance Normie?

WHITECAT WEDNESDAY with HUNNY BUNNY

Hello and welcome to the cozy cottage today...come and join up on the sofa in mommies craft room for a little nap. I will share this soft pretty flower blanket with you...
Oh... but please do not let Misses Peach see you or she might tell mommy I am sleeping on her blanket. I stay in the back of the house and she stays in the front parlor...so far so good...Peach is old and sleeps much of the day away so she might not even notice you coming. I will leave the screen door open and you can sneak in through the pet door...I will be waiting for you....

MONDAY MEOWSINGS...

Today we are thinking deeply at the cozy cottage...
Remembering those we have loved...This African violet belonged to my mommy....it is now the prize of our front window. It has bloomed faithfully for ten years now since my mommy went to heaven. It's Victorian frills never fail to delight anyone who sees it. The blooms are the size of an Ike dollar coin! To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common -- this is my symphony. A VERY SPECIAL CAT ART SUNDAY!!

We saw this cute expecting mommy cat all dressed up in her maternity smock while window shopping in Leavenworth last week. Click to biggy and see how cute she is. The time has come to tell you that a very special kitten has been born last month.
A nursery full of kittens is a wonderful place if they are planned and wanted and have loving homes waiting for them.
Here is one such tiny bundle of fuzzy fur born December 6th...
He is a precious little lavender colored boy name Snow Dog.
A miniature tiger
Here are his brothers and sister having their first big meal of yummy yumms...
Who could resist such baby blues?
He even has some teeny weeny whiskers!!
This tiny kitten is reserved for my sweet grandchildren Ellie and Zachary. He will come to live with them when he is old enough to be away from his mommy in two months. Adopting the purrrrrfect kitty is an important step that must be carefully thought through. I think we have found the purrrrrfect kitty at Pixie Pals Cattery. You see... they wanted nothing other than a Devon Rex because they are so in love with me!!! That makes me an ambassador for my breed and I am very proud of that!

Wishing all of you a wonderful week and I hope your team will win in the playoffs today!

Shoping Shoping Shoping!!!

Guess who had fun in the hat shop!?
My doesn't my Lapdaddy look dashing and dapper! The kidbeans coming back from a shopping trip...
The boys are all shopped out but still smiling....
Shopping takes a lot out of guys...Lapdaddy parked in his favorite chair and Cole has some hot apple cider...then we lit the fireplace and watch a cool movie...The Guardian. The best thing to do in a cold and snowy place for a little ginger cat is to sleep on a heated pillow!

I helped mommy with her sketchbooks, it was great fun walking all over the ink pads!

We will be coming back home later today after one more stop at Apple Annie's...the coolest antique shop in Washington...it has been fun but there is no place like home...

We will be eating Wiener Schnitzel and watching old Popeye DVD's, drinking lots of good coffee with Italian sweet creme in it, playing many games of "Mensch Argere Dich Nicht"...the Germany form of "Sorry" and sitting beside the fireplace counting our bratwurst...opps I mean our blessings. Please stay warm and happy until I return and do not forget me...I love you all so much.

VICTORIAN CAT ART SUNDAY!!!

Today I would like to show you some of mommies favorite Victorian treasures. The crazy quilted pillow is very old. Mommy bought it in Junction City Kansas when the fire department was having a flea market.Next please look at the most beautiful bejeweled picture frame we have ever seen! It is a sparkly beauty in our favorite colors and was a Christmas gift from our beloved ML and KC and the Sherwood gang.
The frame is a purrrrrfect showcase for the most amazing fabric ATC we have ever seen! The fiber artist Lorraine Layne sent it to mommy. It is crafted in the Victorian Crazy Quilt style, adorned with bits of lace and a hand made flower...
Oh and look here...there I am a golden kitty in the middle. We can not even begin to understand how much time goes into sewing such a small work of heART. All we can say is we are so happy our friends love us so and we are thankful for these tiny treasures. They delight our heART and make our cottage the cozy nest that it is.

Wishing you a wonderful Sunday surrounded by all you love...food, sunbeams, catnip, ear scritchies and a cozy lap to snuggle up in.
