MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

ANOTHER FEW LITTLE BITES AND A WHOLE SAUCER OF WATER!

My dearest friends...how happy all of your kind comments have made mommies worried heart. Today has been much the same as yesterday...I ate a few tiny bites. That made mommy smile. I went right back into my box when I was done...I just sit in there as you can see. Sometimes I fall asleep...then I hear mommy creeping up on me and listening to me breath and watching me...she is very sweet with me. I also know what mommy needs because I have a sixth sense...I arranged for something to happen for her today that she was longing for for many years...my being sick made this happen. There is always a silver lining to each gray cloud...and we will tell you more tomorrow. For now, I am resting until mommy comes creeping around me again. I love you all so much and am humbled by your comfort...

Misses Peach, we care about you so much - how could we do anything but purr for you and everyone close to you? Has your human tried warming up your food just the tinest bit? It might encourage you to eat just a little bit more.

Here again it's time to choose words of comfort and love, and it seems they've all been said. Still, I wonder if I have something that might help ease the pain you are going through and that which is yet to come. I think probably the best said is here's our Love to the little Lady, and to you and LapDaddy, and a reminder that there will be another day to come when you three will be all together with the rest of the family at Rainbow Bridge. Miss Peach has done her job of raising and caring for you two. Now it's nearing time for her to get her well earned and deserved rest. Love her for us. I know we've never met, but I feel we have been close friends for many years. My little lady fought long and hard (21) years. She fought well, as does Miss P.

Love from the 6 Mouskateers, Lisa and Me.

Miss Peach, it does our hearts good to see you nibbling a bit. We have some water mixed with our wet food, to make it easier for an elderly kitty to eat, plus in this heat it helps to get a little more water to drink. We are purring so hard that you continue to improve and gain a little strength, Dear One.

Dear Karla,

I'm so sorry about Miss Peach. I know how it feels to lose a fur baby. I lost my fur baby Joshua five years ago. I cried for four days straight after. I loved him so much and still do. There are a few things I learned the year Joshua died. My mother, my father, my sister in law and a few friends died that same year. My mother's death had the most impact on me. I learned from her death that love does indeed continue after death. I thought love stopped at death but it doesn't. And the other thing is this: And I know I will sound strange but I used to feel Joshua's presence after I got his ashes back. I used to feel a cat brush against my legs when there was no cat near me. He was a really good boy and used to stay with me after I had a seizure. I have epilepsy and he was my comfort. His purring eased my headaches. I hope that you can find some comfort in this.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Heidi A. Dietrich
