ONCE UPON A TIME....

I think that my profile is as beautiful as the Princess Grace...mommy thinks that our Lapdaddy looks just like the Prince Rainier....I think that means that we will live happily ever after together at the cozy cottage...wishing you all a magical Thanksgiving week...we are thankful for your treasured friendships...for your visits to say hello to us...for remembering us...blessings to all of you!

Mommy has been sick for a week now and she finally made her way to take a shower...as she drew back the curtain...I heard her scream!  Not being a brave kitty, I stayed in my bed and wished her well.  She was running around the house like crazy looking for someway to catch the intruder...Lapdaddy was not home...so she was on her own for sure.

 First she put a sticky trap in the tub!  WHAT WAS SHE THINKING...that was a dreadful idea!

 Then she got a big leather glove and chased that poor wee beastie around the tub until she caught it by the tail.

 I gave the intruder a once over inspection...it passed.  Mommy then took it out to the garden...

 and released the wee creature on the cobblestone walk path...it sat quiet for a while beside the rock as if reading the message.

So much adventure for one day was enough to send mommy back to bed (after she bleached the tub)...rest is the best medicine....the shower can wait.

ONCE UPON A MAGICAL TIME....long long ago...

This weekend is Halloween....we have spent 10 Halloweens here with you in bloggy and.  It is mommies favorite time of the fun holiday season.  Of all of those Halloween's....one stands out....October 31st 2009.  That was the day that our Miss Peach married her mister wonderfur Mickey the black cat.  It was an enchanting time in the blogosphere and so much was right with our world.  In this time of chaos it is good to turn back the clock and remember those gentle days...forever in our hearts.  Take this magical moment and look back over those times that were most special in your days gone by...  You can relive our special time by visiting the wedding blog...two old cats, one orange and one black,  who found love and made it matter!

MY VINTAGE QUILT...

 Now that autumn is here...the cozy cottage needs to get more cozy...

 so mommy brought out a vintage quilt to use in the sunroom...

 of course...I needed to inspect it for quality...

 it smells interesting and is very soft...

 I am going to snuggle down into it to be sure....

 I think it passes all the tests...

 time for a bit of a trial nap....

 the pattern is called Dresden Plate...it is a quilt that mommy found abandoned in a community laundry room many many years ago in Germany.   It lay for weeks on the folding table...mommy posted a note in each stairwell describing the quilt asking the owner to come and claim it...no one ever did.  She often wonders who handmade this beauty and why it was not treasured more.  We treasure it and finally brought it out of the cedar chest after 25 years this season.  We have decided that there is no time left for saving pretty things for 'someday'.....someday is finally here!

Thank you all for your treasured friendship...it helps get us through the rough times...mommy's ex is beginning to become more stable in the hospital...thank you for all your prayers, we know they help so much.  Wishing you all a blessed October week ahead...make it a good one and be happy!

A VERY COMFORTING TV CHANNEL...

 So mommy and I were watching TV late one night...

 and there were all these cool sweet kitties on the screen....they had baby kiddens that meowzd real loud!  I think they were hungry and wanted some malted milk....

 That made me hungry too....I yelled for mommy to give me my snacky heart box on top of the table...she did...I think I am a little bit of a spoiled kitty girl.

Mommy is asking for prayers for a beloved friend who is in the hospital fighting to recover his health.  He and mommy were married for 25 years before our sweet Lapdaddy came into her life.  He also loves kitties very much.  He was a policeman for 20 years and one night he found a litter of new born kittens that someone threw away...well he brought them home to mommy and she raised them up as best as she could...any man who loves kitties that much is a good man.  We thank you so much for your prayers....much love to you all and blessing for the coming week.

BETTER STICK TO SNUGGLING LAPDADDY!

 not so good at other things...this is epic waffle fail!  He couldn't even get them into the trash can!  Mommy found them like this in his tennis shoes...hahahaha she said

 I think they better both stick to snuggling with me...it is my favorite thing to do anyway...wishing you all a very nice Sunday and a good week ahead...autumn is coming and soon I will have to take a blanket inventory so I will be well prepared...

CELEBRATE THE LAST WEEKEND OF SUMMER.....

 I can lick lick lick this yummy stuff....what is anyway mommy?  Butter pecan ice creme...

mommy is not a big fan of ice creme.....I think she is a bit touched in the head not to like ice creme!  We wish you a wonderful slow slip into the autumn season...it is our favorite and we look forward to it like a tonic to the soul!

WE REMEMBER...OUR BELOVED FURS

So many of our fur friends have gone to the rainbow bridge.  We miss our little Miss Minka, our beautiful Miss Peach,  Henry and Buddy, and our precious Miss Hunny Bunny, gone so unexpected just last year.  Each day is precious that we spend with those we love...life is but a vapor.  Thank you for this Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day which is created by Zee and Zoey Cat Chronicles.
