SWEET MEMORIES TO USHER IN THE QUIET SEASON...

Wishing you all a Happy Halloween...we take this weekend to ponder days gone by....in thankfulness that they happened upon us with gentle grace...tonight the veil grows thin...those beloveds will be near in the soft shadows...

COZY BUT BORING...

Just another boring Sunday at the cozy cottage...we are warm and happy as we slowly watch autumn coming to the garden.  Mommy loves this quiet time of the year...Lapdaddy is already longing for the warmth of springtime.  I am just a happy little cat as long as I have them both close by so I can sit and take my naps with them.  See mommies silly pants!

JUST ANOTHER PURRRRDY FACE....

 Mommy chased me with the flashy box again...but I would not look at her...so she snapped away anyway...oh well...not too bad in my avoidance department.

 Keeping my paw on my Lapdaddy...he is getting better with each day...it has been such a long road...I know one day he will be able to walk all by himself again...until then, it is walking with his chariot buggy and his walking stick.  Today we are going to watch lots of football and mommy is going to make meatballs in pasta sauce...hope I get to lick the spoon.

A NEW FRIEND IN MY WINDOW...

 We once upon a time had a beautiful white Bunny in our front window...mommy brought this one home for me this week.  It is good to have a Bunny in our window once again...mommy wishes it were a different Bunny, but I think it is just fine...it is good to have someone who has bigger ears than mine around here!

WATCHING AUTUMN ARRIVE...

 Resting in the warmth of the early autumn sunshine...no better way to spend a Sunday.  Our Hunny Bunny used to love to lay in the window...we miss her so much.

 Mommy made this ATC to usher in autumn...the tiny pumpkin thingy is a seed pod of some sort, she added the tiny leaf...anyone know what it came from?

 This golden season will always be our favorite...the well deserved rest after a long hot summer...

MOMMY IS WORN OUT...BUT SOMETHING MAGICAL HAPPENED!!!!

I am staying close to mommy since she is wearing out as she puts it.  We are resting so much with Lapdaddy...it seems like the work never ends but we gladly do it...BECAUSE we believe it will get better and better with each day.  Some are quite harder than others, but kitty purrs help.  Kitties are a great comfort...we must just be patient and it will happen.  Something magical did indeed happen this week!  You all know we care for the feral family of Scrappy Cat, her Kitten and daddy cat Lion.  They have lived in our cozy cottage garden for many years now...feral but somewhat trusting of mommies attention.  This week mommy finally broke the barrier with Lion....he let her touch him while he ate his stinky goodness!!!!!  She stroked his head gently and patted his back.  He even arched a tiny bit into her hand...or so she thought.  This was so magical for her...a gift to help her cope with the rough days around here.  Thank you for loving us and keeping us in your thoughts and best purrrrs right now.

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!!!

It has been a wonderful restful week at the cozy cottage...lots of napping...Lapdaddy is recovering well because I am such a purrrrfect nurse!  I have no idea why mommy is so pooped all the time since I am the one who is doing all the work!

ANY YET AGAIN...ANOTHER WEEKEND ALONE WHILE LAPDADDY IS STILL IN HOSPITAL...

Oh my cats has this been a long month for all of us here at the cozy cottage...missing our Lapdaddy while he had his 3 back surgeries has been so hard for us.  He has been improving steady in rehab so we hope and purrrray that he will be home with us again sometime next week!  I was waiting for him on his bed last night, but only mommy came to sleep with me.  She spends all day at hospital so she did not get to participate in the first Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day celebration.  We will try  to remedy this next Sunday with a proper tribute...until then...I wait once again for my little kitty life to get back to normal...thank you all for your many purrrrs and kind visits, they warm our hearts!

AND ONCE AGAIN.....ANOTHER WEEKEND IN THE HOSPITAL!

It has been such a long week for mommy and Lapdaddy...He had quite a setback when he slipped and almost fell in his hospital room.  X`rays reveled that some of the screws had come loose...so this meant that the surgery had to be repeated that same evening...another major surgery...his 3rd one in 10 days.  My Lapdaddy is a strong man and I have been purrrring non stop for him to get better and finally come home...would you please send some of your very best purrrrs his way to help me get him back home soon.  He is in a wonderful hospital and given 5 star treatment...and so is mommy...that makes me happy...but I want him home...thank you all so much for loving us and purrrring hard.

ANOTHER WEEKEND IN THE HOSPITAL...

Thank you all so much for purrrrring real hard  for my Lapdaddy.  The first surgery went well and he had a week to rest up.  On Friday he had his long surgery, over 8 hours, to fuse his back in place.  He is doing well afterward, at least this first day today...we hope for more improvement as each day goes by.  The pain is so dreadful and the meds are making him see things that are not there.  At least he can not fall out of bed because he can not move without help yet.  Mommy spends all day in hospital with him and comes home to feed me and sleep...in the morning she is off to be with him again...I am a lonely kitty.
