REJOICING WITH THANKSGIVING BLESSINGS...

The best mews this week is that mommy was able to buy a new computer...Merry Christmas to her!  We can't wait for it to arrive...yikes she will have to learn Windows 8!  We will finally be able to blog better and post to FB again!  Feeling so disconnected has been tough using this small notebook...but mommy is grateful that she had it.  It was a study in learning to be patient...and I learned a few works from the do not repeat list:)

My dearest furrrends...what a wonderful week for Thanksgiving!  I will celebrate by sharing mommies cuppa cheer while she is not looking.  Oh how yummy this brown stuff on the bottom is...chocolate...can't be good for me but I am a skinny old girl so a few licks can't hurt.  I am thankful for so many things...this quiet season begins with so many gifts.  Our Lapdaddy is having a good week  and hasn't had to use his walker too much, just his cane.  Thank you all for your special thoughts...we feel them and are grateful you send them...
We rejoice with our furrrend Tucker...HE IS HOME again after his 11 day walkabout!  Mommy Rene and daddy Jim are over the moon happy...we wrote them to never give up HOPE and felt Tucker would be returned to their waiting arms...

Each November 22 I remember the night at my Oma and Opa's house in Germany when we heard the dreadful news, just a few months before he was in Berlin and  gave his speech, "Ich bin ein Berliner!" Germany felt the sting of the cold war warm up in his smile. I still have the 1965 silver dollar with his handsome image, I treasure it. I have stood at his grave and wondered why this had to be... An Unfinished Life... for some reason the full title of my tribute portait would not post, I tried 4 times... thank you for all that you gave to our world...

It has been a hard week for us...Lapdaddy is still in much
pain after his back surgery.  We are still filled with hope
that recovery will come soon.

We are still stuggling with this small notebook computer, it gives our blogging a real challenge
because it is so outdated and incompatable.  Facebook will not load, too many ads.
We feel a bit out of touch and pray you will not forget us all until our lives return
to a more normal cadence.  Sending you all much love and cozy comfortable purrrrrs...

OUR REMARKABLE MISS HUNNY BUNNY!!!

It has been a very good week at the cozy cottage.  Our Lapdaddy is recovering well from his back surgery.  We thank you so kindly for all the purrrrrs, purayers, well wishes and cards you have shared with us.  He was able to come home in the evening after the surgery...YEAH!  Sore and tired he fell into bed...then something amazing happened!  For the first time in four years since we have had Miss Hunny Bunny in the house, she climbed in bed with Lapdaddy!  She lay on his feet and would not move away from him!  She knew he needed tending and comforting...we are just so amazed that she showed this unCATeristic kindness when Dennis needed it most.  She stayed with him on his side all night...usually she ALWAYS sleeps on my side by my feet...our hearts are touched by this purrecious fur girl!  It has been a wonderfur autumn week...

NIP NIP HURRAH!!!!

Have you ever wondered where to get some awesome catnip other than growing it yourself in the garden? Well we were lucky enough to do a review, for the company on the top of our side bar, of this all natural catnip. I could not believe how powerful the aroma was when I opened the big package...that is really saying something because I do not have a very good sense of smell! The nip is a nice medium powder instead of the sticks and big garbage we find in most blends. I wanted to brew myself a cuppa tea with it...hee hee So on to the cozy cottage kitties Miss Hope and Miss Hunny Bunny...they both sniffed the nip, rolled around in it a bit and wandered off to the food dish. That does not mean they did not like it...some kitties are just not affected by the aroma of nip no matter how powerful it might be. So I decided to give some of the nip to the garden kitties instead inside a little mesh gift bag. Scrappy Cat and Lion both LOVED it so much and had a wonderful time enjoying their high. We recommend to get a bag pronto...it will last you a long time.

WE HAVE A DATE!!!



Today we want to show you our Lapdaddy doing fun things.
He like to sit on the catio and read while he drinks his coffee.
He also likes to have a little fun with friends...Nancy came by with her new CanAm cool machine and gave him a ride!
We finally have a date for Lapdaddy's back surgery, it will be Monday
morning.  It has been a long painful few months for him and we pray that the surgery will help ease the pain of the compressed nerves.
All of your purrrayers will be felt in our hearts and we thank you for them.  As soon as we get home from the hospital, we will give you an update.





We will keep the watch at the cozy cottage...
We will not worry because all is in God's hands...

I was a very lucky kitty to have been the chosen one....to have been offered a home at the cozy cottage so many years ago...when I came here with my three kittens...starving and hopeless.  All is well now...to everything there  is a season and a time to every purrrpose under heaven

This is my nose...it is tiny, wet and it looks funny.  But it works real good.  I think mommy is just
jealous because her smeller thing does not work anymore.  She broke it a long time ago with something called Zicam
She remembers what things smell and taste like so all is not lost.  But we think it stinks (Pun intended)
that this had to happen.

WE ARE STILL HERE...THANKFULLY

Hello all of our dearest furrriends...we are still here after a rough week.  All is well with us
and our Lapdaddy.  We have a delay in his surgery because of a complication with another
problem.  We see the doctor again this week and will hope this time we can get the green light.
Waiting is hard when you hurt...we have been taking good care of Lapdaddy...making sure he
rests and has a full coffee cup and a good book to read.  THANK YOU all so very much for
your kind encouraging words to support him...it means so much to our hearts that you care so...

WE ARE BACK AGAIN...BUT THE BACK NEEDS FIXING!

The beans are home again...can you guess where they went?  We are both glad they are home again.
We waited and waited like good cats...
It has been a very busy time since they returned...our Lapdaddy has been to the inside picture taking place three times.
They need to see where all his bones are because he is going to have his spine surgery this Tuesday.
We are asking for all of your very best purrrs and purayers for him.  That the surgery will go well and he will be relieved of his constant pain is our prayer.
I am a worried kitty...a little bit.

ON A LITTLE DREAM VACATION...

Hello everykitty...mommy and the Lapdaddy are going to go on a little vacation so they can rest up before the serious surgery on his back. We will be back in 8 days...until then, I HOPE you do not forget us. Our furrrends are precious to us. We kitties will be well taken care of and will have lots of adventures to tell you about soon... so I will say goodnight and snuggle in for some sleep...thank you for loving us...

I AM A VERY GOOD CAT INDEED....

Another week has gone by at the cozy cottage...mommy is still not feeling too chipper but Lapdaddy is quite a bit better. Thank you for all the well wishes and good thoughts for us. I have been helping to keep them both warm by sitting in their laps. Making sure she drinks her coffee and that he drinks his peppermint tea with honey. A good cat has to do what a good cat has to do... I am not a lazy cat like some cat who lives at the cozy cottage ...no names mentioned but you can see for yourself from the picture...

WE ARE SORRY TO BE SICK AND NOT VISITING...

It has been a long week for us at the cozy cottage...Lapdaddy had a stress test on Monday and Tuesday. We were worried about that but the results were very good thank you Lord! We needed this clearance for a go ahead for some serious spine surgery coming up soon for our Lapdaddy. He is a scairty cat so any stories of encouragement would be awesome! Wednesday he got a bad cold...mommy took care of him too good and as a prize for that care, Lapdaddy gave the cold to her. So now they are both sick and laying around like zombies forgetting to pet and feed us. Sorry we have not had time to come by visits...we are a bunch of bad cats these days...forgive us...

WE GOT THE SAYING GOODBYE BLUES...

It has been a long hot summer but a happy one at the cozy cottage.  I got to meet my new boy Cole and his dad Oliver...they were here all the time and we had great fun playing soccer with all of my toys.  Summer is coming to an end when it becomes time to go back to school...so Cole had to go home to Denver to begin high school.  We are all sad that we had to say see you late until the next holiday brings you back...  Yes, I like these guys and they like me...sorry we have been MIA all week...but we had the tiny blues that creep in after having a crowd of pirates around you all summer and now the crows nest is empty...sigh....meow...wonder what adventure will be next arounf here?
