NOW FOR THE STORY...FINALLY...

 This picture of Miss Peach took my breath away when I found it last week on her bridge day!  You see, I did not take this picture!  A few years ago we took a dear couple with us to Depoe Bay for the holidays...and Krista took this picture of our precious girl in Lapdaddy's arms.  I never knew about this picture until I browsed her vacation album...I never expected to see this...the last one in the album...I had almost stopped looking...I am so glad I continued...my precious Miss Peach is still sending me love from above on a day that I was sure I would not make it through...we need to never give up HOPE that the little tiny moments in any day will still enchant us.

An era has ended, reminding us of the passage of time...

Let's arise tomorrow knowing we still have many good days ahead and new joys to discover.
Mickey's mom Nancy left us this inspiring note that we will embrace as our motto from this anniversary forward!  We were secretly hoping that someone would give us a profound gift such as this...we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your beautiful comments and tribute posts.  Each one of them lifted us up to the heaven and we felt closer to the heart of God. 
This evening I found a gift from Miss Peach that I will share with you on Sunday...my precious girl is still weaving magic in my life!

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS...

Mommy is always keeping an eye out for my when I am outside...here we are looking at each other through the front door.  We are sorry that we do not have too much to share from the cozy cottage of late...our hearts are heavy...the anniversary of our beloved Miss Peach leaving us for the rainbow bridge is coming next week.  How do we mark such a day?  How do we get through such a day?  One thing we do know is that we treasure your love and thank you for holding us up when we lean over in sadness...

OLYMPIC HIGH JUMP GOLD MEDAL WINNER...

The landing was a 10...so I gave high 5's with my paw all around!

WORLD CAT DAY...

 Today we celebrate World Cat Day...aCATually, we celebrate cat day each and everyday!  Without cats our lives would be empty, our days drab and dull and our laps cold.  My prayers are that every kitty in the world would feel one loving touch to pet it's head and a full tummy...a safe place to daydream and a sheltered spot to sleep.
 I fell in love with this cow cat (because she is black & white) faerie kitty on the toadstool...I will call her Muffin in honor of my dear friend Lorraine's kitty who left for the rainbow bridge.  All kitties have wings in heaven so I know Muffin will fly around and keep a good eye on her world.

DOWN FOR REPURRRRS...

 Today I spent my time out in Lapdaddy's workshop...it is nice and cool in there.  I have a mat up on the workbench that is nice and cozy.

I am not really down for repairs because mommy is keeping some nice ointment on the scratch I have on my ear...she spoils me...this morning she brushed me for 10 minutes, I loved that!!!  Wishing you all a wonderfur weekend.

A LITTLE WALKABOUT THE ROSE GARDEN...

 Even when it is really hot outside, I love to be in the shade of the garden plants.

 The second bloom is not as full as the spring one, but the colors are so pretty.

I just like it when mommy comes to be with me because then I feel safe from Scrappy Cat...she boxed me on the ear last week and made it bleed!  I am such a sweet kitty and do not understand why she hates me so much!  I share everything I have with her...

BRAVO LONDON!!!

 Last night we watched an amazing Steampunk masterpiece unfold in London in the Olympic opening ceremony.  All we can say is well done London...bravo England!

 I did not enter in the Cat Olympics but maybe I should have...lazer eye competition and looking pretty while laying on a floofy pillow might have been events I might have won a medal in. 

TALENTED BUT LAZY...

 We are enjoying the warm summer days at the cozy cottage...here is where I am right now, slumbering under the shade of the dogwood tree.  I got a special spot I like next to my bunny family.

 Yes, we are so lazy right now but a bit talented so we can earn our supper...mommy made these pretty flower blossoms out of ratty old white silks she keeps bringing home from the sale bin at the craft store.  There is not much blooming in the garden right now so I hope you enjoy looking at them.

WHITE SUNDAY....

 Oh the Casablanca lilies smell like heaven!  Mommy cuts off the orange thingies because they get everything so icky...like my furs...then it would not be a white Sunday...

 I don't care what you say about a thunderstorm coming...I am not coming inside the house now!  Well...not until I see Scrappy Cat in the front yard that is....so I will stay close to the door just in case.

WE HAVE HOPE...

Dear friends....I have been having some sad days...next month will be the first anniversary of my beloved Miss Peach leaving us for the rainbow bridge.  My arms ache to hold her...Lapdaddy aches to have her on his lap.  We have HOPE that one day we will be together again...until then...we remember how it was...warm and sweet.  I know you understand how we feel...you are our beloved friends who carry us along on these days...thank you for your treasured friendships and visits...

SOMETHING DOES NOT SMELL RIGHT AROUND HERE.....
