CAT ART SUNDAY WITH ANGELS

This is mommies hometown AUGSBURG Germany. She is very homesick this time of the year...all her family there has gone to heaven. Please enjoy the sweet tunes of the Christmas angels playing in the windows of the city hall build in the 1600's. This year they inspired mommy to make these pretty Christmas angels with feathers from the Thanksgiving turkey a friend hunted. We think that turkey feathers are the most beautiful in the bird kingdom... A sometimes angel sleeping like one at the moment...

We are so grateful knowing that leaving this earth is never the end of life but the real beginning.... We are so sad this day as we ponder the passing of our earthly angels...so many beloved friends have gone on to prepare the way for us. Two more angels are winging their way to the heavens...my sweet bridesmaid Bonnie has slipped the realm for the heavens, her mommy Birgit is very sad. You can see her calico beauty in the picture just to the right in my sidebar. My dear friends the Kool Kitty Krew have lost their beloved Callie... after a brave battle for her precious life...the cozy cottage is robed in a veil of sadness. Tonight we will burn a dozen candles and remember them as the season of hope is ushered in...

MIDWEEK MEOWZINGS

Oh it is cold and even a bit rainy here...we have ice crusted on the tree branches. It looks pretty but I would rather stay toasty under my hairy blanket on the back of the forbidden sofa. Today I will spend my time thinking about my precious sister Princess...she is not feeling quite herself and I love her very much. Hunny Bunny is charming the socks off of Lapdaddy with those big baby blue eyes of hers! The nerve! I hope summer comes soon so she can go back outside!!
Last night she wandered all over the living room and jumped up on my bay window!

She made friends with our Christmas angel that mommy made last week. It has turkey feathers for wings and she must have thought they were just for her to play with. She gave her a kiss and was gentle with her. A good thing because mommy does not like her stuff mussed about!!

Mommy loves me very much...we like our pretty hearts. The polka dotted one came from Luna's mommy as a Christmas gift from Germany. Now we have a charming set of hearts. One heart is good but two are better.

So today I will show you mommies side table. She usually keeps all sorts of stuff within easy reach on it. As you can see, her stuff is all on the floor now because I have decided that the table makes the fastest way from the litter box to the top of my chosen sofa. So she cleared a path for me (unheard of privilege when I was younger) and let me have my way. Now she dust busters the kitty litter off the pretty Germany table cloth...

Oh and the backyard kitties eat like kings around here! Just take a look at this Frisbee full of hot and juicy roast beast ready to serve them for their dining delight.

CAT ART SUNDAY~Third Advent

Hello dear friends....do you remember getting a robot for Christmas when you were little? This is OPTIPUSS PRIME...a kitty with no fur who needs to be transformed a little bit with our help.

Now you understand why we beans and kitties are so very blessed and lucky. This Cat Art Sunday I am showing you a pretty vest mommy has donated to a fundraiser for Fiona. She is a beautiful Sphynx lady cat that Harry Spotter brought into his home to be his mommy kitty. Fiona needs some dental surgery after Christmas. Her B4 mommy hid that fact from Harry's mommy. Not nice I say! If you remember, after Easter this year I had three very extensive surgeries. I am now better than ever and at almost 17 years that is indeed a blessing. Many of you helped me with my Vet bill and now it is time to pay it forward once again. Two more weeks until we celebrate the anniversary of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's birthday in that little cold stable manger in Bethlehem.

THE PINK ~ Mommy is not in it right now!

For a few days now mommy has not been feeling very good. She is barking like a seal so she will not be singing at Church this Sunday...that does not make her happy because there will be nice Christmas songs on the program...

But I am fine, cozy and as comfy as any kitty can get...my heated pad, my Gizzy quilt and my hairy blanket... But poor mommy is not as fresh as the dew on the roses...
Hunny Bunny will keep her company on the big bed. Lapdaddy said that she is a good foot warmer....I say, yeah right whatever!
For dinner Lapdaddy fixed chicken noodle soup and mommy ate the German pretzel that Cole brought back from Leavenworth...oh it was so yummy! He also brought back marzipan chocolate, Pfeffernuesse, Leberwurst, Senf and a big powder sugar coated raisin bread...if only poor mommy could taste and smell she woundn't feel like she was wasting food on herself...Our nation is in the grip of old man winter and he is in a chilly mood! Please take good care of yourselves and any outdoor kitties you might have. Look in on elderly neighbors to see if they might need something. Santa Claws will see what a good kitty you are...

IT IS HARD TO GET COZY....IF YOU DON"T HAVE A HOME

Sometimes it is so hard to try and get oneself comfy and cozy. Many of us are blessed to be able to try as you will see in my videos. For homeless stray moggies, there is little comfort in their surroundings. No warm shelters to house them from the bitter cold of winters sting. This site below has a very simple plan for putting together a shelter with just some plastic storage boxes!!! How brilliant and simple. We all have these things around...put one together and you will make a difference in the life of some grateful kitty.

Mommy is trying to butter me up with this pretty Victorian collage...but it is not working!!! I am a pretty crabilated kitty here at the cozy cottage!!! Why do you ask??
Well....we have tooooooooooooo many cats around here!!!

And they are looking into my kitchen where I already have to share my kitty kibble with them!!

geeez it is kind of fun to throw my little bit of weight around the cozy cottage somedays....it is Monday after all!

Welcome to Cat Art Sunday! We are having quite a party this weekend. The postcards above came all the way from Germany to help wish mommy a Happy Birthday. Luna and Bonnie's mommy sent them...This has been a very busy cat art week to say the least... This ATC was made by mommy for The Twelve days Of Christmas swap. She calls it "Four cozy kitties waiting for four birds to come a calling" This confection came from Hawaii and Mr. Whiskers mommy! A delicious chocolate pineapple cake...just look how pretty it is decorated and I am on top of it!!!

This kitty came from Pam in Georgia...such pretty colors.

Miss Roberta sent me on a sunflower from the land where the sun always shines...Hawaii! Look I even have my heart shaped Party Mix bowl while I am dreaming! Another expertly folded masterpiece...

And now Miss Lorraine's ATC. We adore her technique with the flower soft and how this famose picture inspired her art.

Tonight we light our second Advent candle as we count our many blessings and look forward to the anniversary of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ...
