60 YEARS AGO TODAY...

HAPPY PURTHDAY TO ME!  This is me and my mommy in Bavaria.  I am having a bittersweet time with this milestone purthday...I really have to get used to being old now...

VENTURING OUT TO CHURCH TODAY...

For the first time this month I am feeling a wee bit better...I will be going out of the cozy cottage early for church...the cats will not know what to make of this since they have been having me stay in bed with them until very late each day.  It is quite cold here right now so I will wear a warm sweater and a cozy shawl around my neck.  Looking forward to coming back home and nesting on the sofa...I have to take this slowly. (If all goes well, I will go shopping with Cole's daddy on Monday to try and find some Germany Christmas chocolates to decorate the tree with like we did last year.)  Lots of good Hallmark movies on the DVR and TCM is back on Dish once again!  For a while there I was ready to give up TV since TCM is my favorite to go to channel.

THANKFUL,THANKFUL,THANKFUL...

Wishing you all a most peaceful blessed Thanksgiving day...it will be small, quiet and slow at the cozy cottage today...filled with time to count our many blessings and a prayer for answering a wish we have had for a job for Cole's daddy...we are indeed thankful

 Make sure your plate has some yummy stuff in it...then settle in to a nice warm spot for an after dinner nap...Happy Thanksgiving dearest friends...we treasure you all...

MOMMY IS STILL FEELING CRUMMY AND CABBY...

The cozy cottage is still under quarantine...mommy is getting slowly better but somedays she still has some bad relapses.  Barking like a harbor seal and whining about how much it hurts her ribs to do so.  She is still thankful in her suffering and we are doing our best to keep her spirits up.  That is hard when she is grumpy and sleepy most of the day.  Auntie Biotiks are helping...slowly.  We are all thankful and hope this will be over soon.  Lapdaddy is all better...
The days are beginning to look quite gray...the golden glow of autumn we loved so much is gone...the quiet season is upon us...we welcome the rest.....
Please have a beautiful week...Thanksgiving will be a humble affair here...just the rents and us cats and the footballers on TV.  We all hope that the turkey will be enough for us to have some too...

 The cheeky birdie got snapped while eating the dogwood berries while mommy was sick in bed...she got him good.  I do not think he is a turkey though...but would make a nice horseordurve for me!

SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK .... BLAH!

Mommy NEVER get sick because she comes from tough old German stock....but Lapdaddy snuck in a germ that has laid her flat for 9 days now.  I am being a good nurse maid and Miss Hope is too....she sleeps in mommies arms at night and keeps her neck warm.  I jump up on the sofa at time...then make some soft bread on mommies tummy....we are helping to get all things back in tip top shape before the turkey day arrives....we wish you a blessed week and stay warm!  We thought you might like a few pictures of our dear old girl Miss Peach when she was sick...remember how she would stay on top of the cold box in her frying pan?  Silly sweet old angel girl...we miss her attitudes so much...PS: Lapdaddy is much better by the way

BLOG BLAST FOR PEACE 2014!

It is time to celebrate our blog blast for PEACE once again!  We purrrr for Peace in this hopeless world each and everyday...we all have the power in our hands to make a difference no matter how minuscule we might think it to be...just do it!!!  Love thy neighbor...that includes all the homeless kitties that come by your door!

THE THANKFUL MONTH IS UPON US...

 I am so thankful that we have the cozy cottage to curl up at.  I like snuggling next to mommies computer where the warm air blows on me...it makes for a real nice nappy spot.  I fold my paws under and then the snoozing begins...

Miss Hunny Bunny is thankful that she can jump up on the table top to explore all the fun things mommy stacks around her space...hmmm do I see a feather?!  I wonder if....mommy would miss it....if I took it away to play?  What are you thankful for today?

 My pretty jack~o~lantern is not wicked because it is smiling...

 The orange and the yellow blankets are not wicked because they keep us warm when we take a nappy on them...

 Hmmm I bet the photo bomber is the wicked one...

HAPPY AUTUMN SUNDAY...

 Mommy was able to get this battery powered candle for free at Kohl's department store!  She had a $10 off coupon and the sticker on it was $5.99...originally $29!!!  Now that was a real good deal wouldn't you agree?  She then dresses up the candle with a bit of lace...because everything needs either glitter or lace to really shine...or cat fur!

 So after posing for mommy...I needed an autumn afternoon nappy...

 In the evening I helped myself to some of that nice milk left in the bottom of the cup...that is until mommy saw me...game over!  Wishing you all a most happy Sunday!

 Mommy said I have to remind all of you ladies to remember that this is October...

 that means breast cancer awareness month...our Miss Peach had this type of cancer...she had it removed and it gave her more happy years at the cozy cottage...so please feel for any abnormal lumps or bumps and get an X~ray!

wishing you all a wonderful Sunday...early autumn winds blew fierce yesterday so Miss Hunny Bunny is ready for some sunshine so she can go back out in the garden for some naps...

A FEW NEW THINGS...

 I got to taste something real yummy and new to me...mommy left her cuppa coffee on the table and lickity split I helped myself to some of the whipped creme on top!  Mommy said no more because it is too rich...but it was oh so tasty while it lasted.

 Miss Hunny Bunny has been doing something new also.  She has come up onto the sofa and into our laps for the first time this week even with little Hope already in one of ours...

 Here you can see her in between Lapdaddy and myself...Bunny has quite an insecure look on her face, but she wants to be up here with us.  She stays for a minute or so...then turns away and jumps back down.  We also find that she wants to drink from the faucet in the bathroom sink of late and is very insistent on going in there with us when we do.  She is also eating much more that usual.  I have noticed that she is losing weight...my heart is feeling a bit uneasy about all of these things...
