MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

A FINAL GIFT OF LOVE....

Our furry fighter fought and won the great battle against time...

you are free at last...
our hearts break as you vanish with your angel on your final journey...
to a land of rainbow colored roses and peaceful glens abundant with chicken and creme...
A mist, a vapor of yourself you leave behind...
for us to find in those quiet deep times... when the world stands still and we fear we can not go on another second without you...

we know you will be there in the rustle of the autumn leaves...
You name is STORM~Your fairy is called Feather Snowglitter
She is a cleansing force and a peace-bringer.
She lives in high places where the clouds meet the earth.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears pale blue like the sky. She has delicate pale blue wings like a cicada.
May the great Rainbow Cat grant you safe journey into the heavens. We will never forget you and the lessons you taught us.

A CAN'T DECIDE TUESDAY!

I had a little talk with my Lapdaddy today about sleeping places in his office. Do you see the printer on the shelf? Last night I slept on it and got it all furry and sneezy. No one was pleased!
Today mommy got me TWO new sleeping boxes to select from. Which one would you pick?
I think I will just sit on Lapdaddies chair until I decide....
This is definitely one spot I am not sleeping in anymore right now!!
SO many naps to take and no place to take them in! My special friend Normie said he has a big Mexican pot that he sleeps in called his 'casita'. Mommy can you please get me one just like Normie has? Please?

My Monday Mood...is Mellow

I have been very fussy about my sleeping spots this weekend. I can not seem to settle down in any of the old spots for some reason. Mommy did bring me into the parlor last night and I stayed on her lap for over an hour! She was very happy about this.
Pink Japanese cherry tree in Springtime glory with lavender creeping phlox beneath.
This miniature beauty is called "Stars & Stripes" a perfect name I think!
This is hosta Sub and Substance. It is the biggest hosta I know of!
I wish you all a beautiful day with lots of naps and ear scritchies!

CAT ART SUNDAY

Mommy made all of these cards to send to her Crazy Cat Card Club! (bigafy to see the kitty chaos)

I just love this card Lorianna and Billie sent to me! It is sweet, kind, enchanting and oh so adorable. Mommy put it on the table with her favorite glass birdie and her mouse friends Lapdaddy got for her when they were dating.
I love the colors of this wonderful art work. A kitty still life... I am so sorry I forgot who this wonderful artist is.
Mommy made this ATC from a nice card that a friend sent to her. She is always recycling things artfully. This one is titled, "The Piped Piper"
I wish you all a peaceful Sunday, safe and sound in the arms or laps of your loved ones.

A SOUTHWESTERN KIND OF MOOD

My special tiny friend Normie bought his mommy a pretty southwestern bracelet on eBay. So I told mommy I wanted one too. She found this one in her jewelry box and I think it will fit just fine. Where is the silver polish mommy?

FINALLY FRIDAY!!

Today I would like to introduce you to Shammy who was found all sunburned wandering the streets in Portland. He is a wonderful big soft bundle of cathood!
Mommy was very happy to meet him...
Diana rescued him and he is so lucky to be loved by her and Bill and live in a home filled with wonderful furry friends.

Well it has been quite a week for us here. Long day alone while the beans were gone and this uncertain kitten status for me! But now I know there will be no new furry additions around here! Mommy and Lapdaddy will just have to visit Diana's kittens when they are in Portland (and leave them there!) when they want a kitten fix. I want to thank all of you for agreeing with my need to be an only kitty this late in my life. It means so much to me to have understanding friends...I wish all of you a Blessed weekend with happy cozy moments.

A TEASING TALE ON THURSDAY....

It is true that mommy and my Lapdaddy adored all of the kittens at Diana's house. It is true that they wanted one. But they love me more than they could any new kitten! They promised me that I would always be the one and only Queen of the Cozy Cottage. So while there is NO new kitten here, we do have a new addition to our household. I would like to introduce you all to my beautiful friend Manny Ramirez. He is a crown fin beta and swims for the Boston Red Sox 24 hours a day!Get a load of those awesome dreadlocks he has!! I can see the resemblance...can you?
Manny likes to swim infront of a mirror hanging next to his bowl and puff up his gills because he thinks he is fooling someone looking back at him doing the same thing! I am not going to tell him the truth because that would spoil his fun.
While I still miss Bubbles very much, I think we are going to get along very well. I check on him a few times each day to see if he needs anything...like a sandpaper kiss or something... {{Please don't tell mommy and Lapdaddy that I was really worried they might bring home one of Diana's kittens. That would have been a real heartbreak for an old girl like me because I do not share very well}}

WEDNESDAY WISH FOR PEACE

She was named for the PEACE that came after World War II.

We live in a beautiful world...please grant us PEACE for all living creatures!

This situation just keeps getting worse!
Mommy you can NEVER go to Diana's house again!
Just look at my mommies face in this picture!!
Why is she snuggling these wrinkled nakked babies so much!!??

Mommy will show you our new addition to the cozy cottage family tomorrow.

WHO ARE THESE GUYS??!?!??!!!

"I thought you said you had to go to see the doctor in Portland Lapdaddy??!??"
"Who are these kitties and why are they in MY Laddaddies lap!"
"You have been gone for 12 hours!! Then you come home and smell like a cathouse! I am NOT AMUSED! You are never going to Portland again without me!"
Tune in tomorrow for the REST of the story and meet the REST of Diana's kitties!

JUNE MEANS ROSES!!

Mommy is so happy with her roses on the front arbor gate. This beauty is called "EDEN" and is her favorite!

I love speding time in the Hosta garden that I have all to myself on my patio. Sometimes I sit beside the screen and soak up the sunshine. But in this photo last week it was raining! We love the welcome rain here in the desert because it is so rare.

I am alone today as the beans are in Portland again for a check up for Lapdaddy. It will be another long lonely day.....I wonder if they will do anything exciting while they are there? Please purrr for my beloved sister Marilyn as she has to go to the tooth Vet today and her mommy is worried.

CAT ART SUNDAY DEDICATED TO MY BELOVED BRAVE FRIEND STORMIE!

This is the brave girl Storm that I admire so very much...please click here and leave her some purrrrs

This beautiful Meezer art card was made by
CCCC member Roberta Mau, Honolulu Hawaii.

Stormie is not feeling well at all. She is not eating her food and we are so very worried about her. Living with Cancer is a difficult road to travel up and down. Storm has shown us how bravely she makes this journey. Please keep her and Castle in your purrrayers. She is so worried about Castle being lonely if she should leave for the rainbow bridge. Isn't that just too tender that Stormie thinks not of herself but of her dearest brother...

We LOVE you Storm and wish you peace.
