TIS THE SEASON FOR GIVING...HERE IS A SPECIAL BRACELET UP FOR AUCTION TO BENEFIT THE CAT BLOGOSPHERE TREASURY!

Click to bigafy!
While I was watching the many different dogs on the dog show on Thanksgiving, day I had an idea. I also wanted to help like the many others who are fundraising for the Blogosphere right now! So here is my creation up for auction for the next week till Friday at midnight. I call it "COATS OF MANY COLORS" (hey there is a beautiful Dolly Pardon song with this title!)It is a slinky style wrap around cuff bracelet, so one size fits any:) All the stones used are semi~precious gem stones, except the cute little cat face bead of course. The gemstones include tigereye, goldstone, blue goldstone, green goldstone (synthetic) ameythyst, mookite, Indian jasper, picture jasper, labradorite, crazy lace agate, yellow jade, green jade, yellow, quartz, green quartz, rose quartz, opalite, green aventurine, autumn jasper, leopard jasper, clear quartz, butterscotch aventurine,peach aventurine, snowflake obsidian, catseye (synthetic), moonstone, carnelian. Tiny golden seed beads are used as spacers to nicely set off each stone. I am sure you will love playing with the stones and watching them dance in the sunlight. They shimmer and reflect with each turn of the wrist. You will love this bracelet!! Oh did I mention that the earrings are also included! So dig deep for the greenpapers and lets support the ladies who keep the Cat Blogosphere alive with love and charity for all who need it!! Just place your bid here on this post till the deadline. The winner will pay with PAYPAL directly to Mom Robyns charity account (addy given later:)
By the way, remember any cat who donates to the Blogosphere this week will recieve a sweet little something from the donated loot! Thanks to Roscoe & Opus for organizing this great fundraiser!! Oh and I donated a bracelet & ear rings for it:) So who knows you might just get it!

Thank you for your kind consideration and remember tis the season..........Love Miss Peach and the mommy

NOMSS CAT ART SUNDAY NEVER LOOKED BETTER!

Mommy used some of her pretty colored art papers to make real nice signs for me today. She thinks I keep confusing the boxes I have so she has labled my areas for me. How nice mommy...now I can finally make out my Christmas list on those papers and get it into the mail to Santa Cat!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of my favorite post modern artisits is Natasha Wescoat. Her colorful whimsical art touches me and takes me back to my childhood school days in Bavaria where the walls were painted in murals and the smell of fresh boxes of crayons still fills my mind. To visit Natasha's world: http://www.natashawescoat.com/about.html~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have a wonderful Sunday everyone, stay warm and finish off that left over turkey!
SILLY SATURDAY STUFF
A Fairy Princess Kitty who lost her wings?
I am in the spotlight again!
Mommy and her new flashy box are getting on my last nerve! What are those white things in that first snap shot? You call this art mommy? You better have something worthwhile for Sunday or you will lose all of my audience! Think I will take a nap now and dream of my Santa Cat list of things I wish for this Christmas....
GUESS WHAT I DID ON THANKSGIVING! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?
Why do the Pilgrams pants fall down? Because they wear their belt buckles on their hats!
This is the turkey Cat Zee had today. Mommy said, "Yummy I'll have the dark and light please!"
So guess what I was watching so intently from the Laddaddy's kneecap?
Yep...I admit I was very interested in the dog show on TV this morning! I wanted to root for the wire hair fox terrier...but they didn't even have one! I like to watch dog shows. I just wish they would also show cat shows on TV....they never do!! Maybe we can sign a protest sheet or something!
So what do you have left over from Thanksgiving dinner?
We have some turkey tamales and Waldorf salad...
want to come over later?
We can watch the Macy's parade (again)
and tell Santa what we want for Christmas.
PS: Does any cat have a real good recipe for Raspberry~Rhubarb Jam?
ONCE IN AWHILE A KITTY COMES ALONG...
A kitty that you just want to cuddle close to your cheeks like a favorite Raggedy Ann doll!
One day Sweet Ariel made this photo of me
I must be a Princess...look on top of my head:)
Then another day Ariel and my devoted sister Marilyn gave me this Princess award. But like I told you in my Box of Life Meme...I am just a plain old ordinary cat who plays in the summer wind.
So I am going to pass this pretty award on to a very special kitty girl who really deserves it. Her name is Miss Chase and she is a very brave kitty with an amazing story to tell. Some of us kitties lay around in sunbeams sleeping our days away. Miss Chase is a working ANGEL who will teach us a thing or two. She is not concerned with her handicaps...she puts them to use.
Welcome her into your heart http://www.chasenoface.blogspot.com/
MONDAY'S MAGIC MOOD>(^,^)<
This is one of Tasha Tudor's drawings. It is her one eyed cat named Minou.
Today I would like to introduce you to a sweet little batch of Devon Rex kitties. They live with my dear friend Diana Nelson in Portland and are guests at the moment. The mommy kitty gave birth to these adorable puddins and they are three weeks old right now. Look at those sweet little tiger stripes! My sweet little Miss Peach once looked just like this many years ago. Now she will be 15 years old on January 10th. Such a blessed life...I love you little Peaches.
Here we come world! (click to bigafy the cuteness:)
Well, maybe we will stay here where it is safe...
Sadly, two kittens from this lovely mommy cats litter did not live long and went to the bridge to get their wings. Sometimes it is hard to be a mommy cat...
CAT ART SUNDAY with a speacial guest to the cottage
Do you remember the first time you heard the word BLOG? What does this strange word mean...what can it offer me? One night I was searching Google for 'Sphynx Cats' and I came upon this beautiful cat named DRAGONHEART who lives in Munich Germany. A magical town that I spent many of my childhood years in. Intrigued I clicked him up and was charmed from his very first photo. I had entered the world of BLOG! DRAGONHEART worked his magic on my heart from the start. Can you see him sitting on my lap in the photos above? Look close and you will see with the eyes of my heart. The kitty I am holding is name YODA. He came to stay with us for one precious week while his beans were away. Even the fussy Miss Peach was charmed by him. Yoda is now at the rainbow bridge but his gentleness will never be forgotten. We know what kind of a kitty will be our next dream kitty. My first cat was a simple ginger...then I had a blue~creme Persian...then came the longed for Devon Rex Miss Peach. One day I will have a Sphynx on my lap. When, I am not certain...but this I know: The kitty will come from my dearest friend Diana Nelson who does breed rescue for Devon's, Cornish and Sphynx kitties. It might be a kitten...it might be a geezer cat like Peach is... it might be an unwanted rejected cat impurrrfect in many ways. But are we not all to some degree?
MAY I INTRODUCE TO YOU ONE OF MY FAVORITE LADIES~~~TASHA TUDOR
Tasha Tudor is a wonderful lady. She is almost 93 years young and a delightful children's artist. A purveyor of vintage living, she is who I wish I could grow up to be like. Surrounded by her beloved corgin and kitties, she lives her days to the fullest in her homestead in Vermont. When I miss my sweet Oma...I can find traces of her in Tasha's world. Oma would gather the wood for the stove in her apron, feed the chickens, keep goats and kitties and rabbits...I close my eyes and am back in that special place once again...waiting...for the eggs to hatch and the bunnies to be born in Spring...waiting...for the ripe cherries and currants to bake Summer delights with...waiting...for Autumn to store the apples and pears for the Winter pantry...waiting...to fill the feeders with sunflower seeds to ease the hunger of our feathered friends.
Oh, isn't this TEA set lovely...my Mickey sent this to me:)
I want to share this Tea Story that her grandson Winslow wrote this month, along with glimpses of her spirit. Enjoy it and then close your eyes and remember your days of long ago in your own special place...
A TEA STORY by WINSLOW TUDOR
In November the ground freezes, the summer birds leave and the land is covered with cold until the sun rises sufficiently high in April to bring warmth to melt the ice. Now the chickadees come to the feeders and the red squirrels lace the frosted grass with their tracks. It is cold at night, and the windowpanes frost. When the wind blows, the branches move stiffly, lacking the suppleness of spring and summer's warmer days. It is a hard time on the wild animals, and the domestic ones as well. The chickens, in particular, look forward to spring. The deer and fox in their sleek winter coats and bright black noses leave their tracks in the fields. Blue jays are out in force. November nights arrive unexpectedly early, and the ponds begin to freeze. Daylight savings time ends, bringing an extra hour to evenings heavy with darkness. In the first week or two of the month there is invariably a dearth of snow, and until it arrives, the dark shadows of trees and their fallen leaves hold the sunless hours close. Yet even as the cold and cheerless rains of early November descend, the snow from the north draws near, and one day a storm comes and turns the world white.It is November and Thanksgiving Day is not far away.
SOME SILLY PICTURES OF ME:)
When it is really chilly around the house, mommy gets out her old German bed warmer that she used as a little girl. She fills it with real hot water and I just cuddle up to it for all it's worth! Please excuse the X~rated photo...I need to get better at photoshop!!
This is my sleeping bed on my patio. Me and Henry do that very well:) I miss him...but mommy still cries over him...he was a wonderful kitty boy.
I loved Henry, but sometimes I just had to tell him, "Talk to the butt!" He never listened though........
These photos came from the Lapdaddies puter because mine is not signing on tonight....grrrrrr I hate that! So bare with me and I will do better this weekend. I have lots more cool birds to show you:)
Happy Friday and remember I love you all and promise you a nice invitation later next week:))
Love Miss Peach
BLACKBIRD~~~by THE BEATLES
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your lifeYou were only waiting for this moment to arise
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
All your lifeYou were only waiting for this moment to be free
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night
Blackbird fly, blackbird fly........
Today was a bird filled day here at the Cottage! Hundreds of bird came for a visit. They ate every dogwood berry on the three trees I have. They flew into the tall sycamore trees in the neigbors yard and chattered their hearts out before they flew away. The berries are gone and Autumn is almost over. Soon the Canada Goose will be here again for the Winter....then can the Robin Redbreast of Spring be far behind? The seasons of life roll along...live in each tiny moment and remember you are a purrrrfect cat!
