HAPPY HALLOWEEN THIRD ANNIVERSARY for Miss Peach and Mickey!

It has been three years since the gave their paws in marriage to each other...now both in heaven celebrating their anniversary with so many icon kitties who have joined them.

I am most thankful for the love they shared for so long and that they chose Halloween to unite their special love. A special moment that will always be recounted each year...forever until they are in our arms once again.

BLACK IS BEAUTIFUL!!!

So many black kitties wait endlessly for a purrrson to come and adopt them in the shelters...why is that?  ALL kitties are stunning no matter their color.  Black is beautiful and black kitties are purrrrprecious.  Many shelters will not adopt out black kitties around Halloween and we think that is very good protection for them.  November is the Thankful month and a black kitty would make many a lonely purrrson a wonderful CATpanion to go into the holidays with...and furever all their lives together.  We miss little Boo Boo Kitty who went to the bridge last year...this plea is in his honor.

HAPPY SPOOKY WEEK!

Are you all ready for the spooky week to begin...we three are!  Do you like my new hat?  It is not so spooky as the one the intruder is wearing in my front window.  I will be glad when this week is over so I can have my window seat back...so where are my treats mommy!!???!?  If I do not get any, you will see my claws do some tricks on your new carpet!!

MOMMY SAYS THANK YOU SO MUCH...

we thank you for all the kind words and sweet visits yesterday...we truely felt surrounded by your love.  Some days are just so very hard that all you can do is fall into the world of memories.  Then when all our friends come and stand beside us to hold us up...we feel we can make it and count that as the greatest blessing.

PEEKING INSIDE THE COZY COTTAGE ROOMS...

 You all know what the gardens of the cozy cottage look like...so we thought you might like a peek inside all the rooms.  This is the front parlor as you have seen it before...all dressed for BOO night.

 Here is the dining area and kitchen.  That little cabinet is my Oma's wedding gift she got when she married in 1920 something,  that I brought from Germany when we moved here many years ago.

 The kitty feeding station and the door to the auntie room...and the kitchen.

 Lapdaddy's office and mommy's desk with her sewing machine...

 Our only litter box room...this is a very tiny house.

 into the bedroom were we all sleep on the new jell foam mattress!

 these doors hide the washer/dryer area...Lapdaddy made the tea cup chandy.  The decorations on the door are something mommy made with the kidbeans school class (she taught art) in Germany in 1982...we keep our stuff a long time!

 I hope you enjoyed your peek inside tour of the cozy cottage...I love digging my claws into mommies new carpet...it drives her nuts when I use it for a launching pad to hightail it out of the room at warp speed!

UNDER THE INVADERS SPELL...

The thing has put me under it's evil spell and forced me to go to sleep...

ANOTHER STRANGE INVADER!

 Well we have the ant problem under control with the TERRO Trap!  YEAH!  Thank you for all your awesome advice...we opted for the Terro because the ants eat it and take it home to the colony.  We do not enjoy harming them in this way but they should not come into the cozy cottage!  So now look what is in here!!!

 This huge scairty orange thing with a big feathery hat on it's head!  At night it glows from the inside with a sinister smirk on it's face...I do not like it much and will not sit in the window with it there!  Does that make me a scairty cat? 

AUTUMN HAS ARRIVED!

 I wonder how many more indian summer days we will have this autumn...

 the leaves on the dogwood tree are beginning to turn their beautiful burgundy shades..

I love being in my favorite spot hanging out with my bunnies...
Mommy is upset because we have invaders in the cozy cottage...ANTS!!!  We have never had so many ants march in before...she is freaking out so I am glad to be outside...off to the hardware store to buy some TERRO ant traps!!!

WHITE CATS ON BEAUTIFUL RUGS!

 This is the first pretty carpet mommy snagged at Goodwill this summer...we keep it out on the patio. It is a faux Chinese carpet but quite a nice one...

 Here I am on the old wool hooked rug mommy treasured all these past 20 years...it had become thread bare in so many spots...I still liked it.

 Now our newest prize possesion that I really love to dig my long claws into...mommy paid $259 for it.  It was $299 but 20% off and then 8.3% tax...so we hope we did the math right.

 Do I look lovely on mommies new carpet? It covers up the ratty brown wall to wall stuff that we just can't manage to replace...oh kitties are we ever doing the happy dance at the cozy cottage!

 I just love it....soft and beautiful just like me!  This carpet is the most expensive item mommy has ever come home with from our Goodwill.  It seems to be around 40 years old and has probably been in storage for most of that time.  It had a moving company sticker on it from overseas so we think it might have belonged to a service member.  Many years ago mommy brought just such a carpet over here from Germany.  It was her dream carpet and she cherished it...but she had to give it away.  Now the good Lord has rewarded her with one that is even prettier than the one she lost so long ago.

 We never go to Goodwill on Mondays (senior Day 20%off) and that is when we found it.  It is in perfect condition and the fringes are bright white still!  Amazing!

 Mommy did this search in eBay for a comparable and she found HER carpet!  Yes you read right $3000-3500 is the price she remembers paying for hers...she was so blessed when she read the GW price tag...we won't tell you what it is but whoever guesses closest without going over will win a small prize!  Leave your guess in the comments until Friday at midnight.
