MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two?

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

WHERE IS THE TIME GOING?

We can hardly believe that the month is half over already...the days almost seem to be longer already!  Spring will be most welcome so we can feel the sunshine on our furs again.  Lapdaddy will be watching the Seahawks game today...but mommy like doublecheck Rogers so it will be fun to see who wins and goes on to the Super Bowl.  I will be sleeping on my fuzzy blue pillow as you can see.  Life is good at the cozy cottage...humble but good.  We are warm and have food...and love.  Be content in all circumstances and trust in the Lord for HE is Good and loves you.

WE'LL KEEP THE LIGHT ON FOR YOU.....

A NEW YEARS VIEW OF THE COZY COTTAGE...

The dark gray month begins with some melancholy feelings around here...that is almost normal for this time of the year.  I am sure many of you can relate...as we long for the lighter side of life to return, we wait...and nap...and wait...and nap.

Mommy left the tree up until Holy Three Kings day as she does each year...I will miss taking my nap under it...
It snowed a little bit to make the outside nice and bright...a good time for a nappy on my soft pillow
With the tartan Christmas things put away, we bring out the white snowflakes for the fireplace mantle...it looks quite nice at night with the cool bright white lights glowing...
It was a surprise for us to see ALL the garden kitties together waiting for food this week...Scrappy Cat in the back, Lion in the middle and Momcat in front.  It is good to see them all looking well with nice long furs to ward off the cold.  We wish you a wonderful week full of quiet moments and happy thoughts.

HAPPY MEW YEAR!!!

The cozy cottagers all wish you dearest furiends a most happy mew year...one that will be better than the past one although we must be thankful to the Lord for all his blessings even in stormy times.  Our wish for us all is that the new year will bring a bright hope on each horizon.
Cole will be returning home this weekend and that leaves us quite sad...he loves us kitties so much and we adore him.  Summer will bring him back to us and we will endure the wait knowing that.
Please know how much we treasure your furiendships and thank you for your visits.  Stay safe, warm and keep a gladden heart.

MERRY CHRISTMAS and GOD BLESS US EVERYONE!

All the chocolates were hung on the little tree...see how big our boy Cole is now!  The angel fell off the tree and he just reached right up there and put her back on!
It was a Christmas of socks and skateboards stuff...
off course I had to be beside him all the time... and look who we got to watch on TV!  Lucy and Ricky...and Fred and Ethel...four fun Santa's just like the four chocolate Santa's on the shelf!
Merry Christmas to all our faithful friends...we treasure that you care for us and honor us with your visits at the cozy cottage!

SOMEONE SPECIAL THIS WAY COMES....and we don't mean Santa!

Guess who we are getting ready for at the cozy cottage?  Coming on a big airplane all the way from Denver is our favorite buddy Cole!  I will wait on his blanket to keep it warm...it is going to be a wonderful Christmas.  Lots of good food, playing games, decorating the Christmas tree with chocolates...and brown paper packages tied up with strings....these are a few of our favorite things!  Stay tuned for more as the fun unfolds....Happy Sunday!

 waiting with a nice nappy...

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS...

Yeah for TJ MAXX...mommy found Lebkuchen there!  Yummy yummy yummy she kept saying as she opened the package.  The stuff on the silver tray is off limits to us kitties, yeah right, only if WE say so too.
Well I do not care right now...time for a nap in the best chair...I have my own purrrrsonal guardian standing by in case of danger...
Mommy bought some white lights to lay on the mantle..this picture was taken in the dark with no flash...I think we could land a Boeing 747 on that mantle!  Way to bright...
My special spot in the window is looking better as each day goes by...the gold foil star is from mommies Oma  over 40 years ago...still our favorite.
Little Miss Hope just wants to know what happened to whatever it was on the plate..."Hey was it cheese mommy.  You know how much I love cheese!"

I GOT A NICE NEW GIFTY FROM MOMMY!

Well my window seat is all decked out for the holidays now...mommy gave me a new light!
It is filled with magic that bubbles up and down all the time when it is turned on!
I like the red color...I think it is very festive for the season...can you see the bubbles doing their dance?  If I get real close, it keeps my nose warm.  Wishing you all a very happy second advent Sunday.

VENTURING OUT TO CHURCH TODAY...

For the first time this month I am feeling a wee bit better...I will be going out of the cozy cottage early for church...the cats will not know what to make of this since they have been having me stay in bed with them until very late each day.  It is quite cold here right now so I will wear a warm sweater and a cozy shawl around my neck.  Looking forward to coming back home and nesting on the sofa...I have to take this slowly. (If all goes well, I will go shopping with Cole's daddy on Monday to try and find some Germany Christmas chocolates to decorate the tree with like we did last year.)  Lots of good Hallmark movies on the DVR and TCM is back on Dish once again!  For a while there I was ready to give up TV since TCM is my favorite to go to channel.

Make sure your plate has some yummy stuff in it...then settle in to a nice warm spot for an after dinner nap...Happy Thanksgiving dearest friends...we treasure you all...

MOMMY IS STILL FEELING CRUMMY AND CABBY...

The cozy cottage is still under quarantine...mommy is getting slowly better but somedays she still has some bad relapses.  Barking like a harbor seal and whining about how much it hurts her ribs to do so.  She is still thankful in her suffering and we are doing our best to keep her spirits up.  That is hard when she is grumpy and sleepy most of the day.  Auntie Biotiks are helping...slowly.  We are all thankful and hope this will be over soon.  Lapdaddy is all better...
The days are beginning to look quite gray...the golden glow of autumn we loved so much is gone...the quiet season is upon us...we welcome the rest.....
Please have a beautiful week...Thanksgiving will be a humble affair here...just the rents and us cats and the footballers on TV.  We all hope that the turkey will be enough for us to have some too...

The cheeky birdie got snapped while eating the dogwood berries while mommy was sick in bed...she got him good.  I do not think he is a turkey though...but would make a nice horseordurve for me!

SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK .... BLAH!

Mommy NEVER get sick because she comes from tough old German stock....but Lapdaddy snuck in a germ that has laid her flat for 9 days now.  I am being a good nurse maid and Miss Hope is too....she sleeps in mommies arms at night and keeps her neck warm.  I jump up on the sofa at time...then make some soft bread on mommies tummy....we are helping to get all things back in tip top shape before the turkey day arrives....we wish you a blessed week and stay warm!  We thought you might like a few pictures of our dear old girl Miss Peach when she was sick...remember how she would stay on top of the cold box in her frying pan?  Silly sweet old angel girl...we miss her attitudes so much...PS: Lapdaddy is much better by the way
