no doubt...it is me alright! only the whiskers are out of place since I do not have any. Being a Devon Rex...I have never had any...it is part of my breed. Some Devons do...Daisy has some... So here is where mommy put the pretty mini quilty...above my sleepy place. So guest will know not to sit here!!!

Our sweet mystery mail lady is none other than our beloved ML of the Sherwood kitty clan!! She showers us with treasures that make our little cottage so cozy...we are humbled by her love and thankful for her friendship. Please go any support the auction for kitty SHELL going on right now. I AM A PURRRFECT WATCH CAT!!!

All night I sat on Cole's pillow and kept watch over him...he slept on the living room floor next to my sofa on his big feather bed...so I just popped on down on his pillow and purrrred him to sleep. It was a good night...I kept way all the bad dreams and protected him from all the evils of the world...at least for the night. An old cat can still make a difference one night at a time...

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS

Thank you dear friends for coming to see the cat art today...I wanted to show you some pictures mommy took but Blogger told us...no can do...we need to buy more storage space. So we will try to get that done this week...As you can tell from our art, our hearts are with Japan. We watched a YouTube video of a lady going back into her destroyed home in search of her beloved kitty she had to leave behind....after much looking a tiny cat face peered around the corner on the steps and meowed the most welcome sound we have ever heard..."I am here mommy, I have been so scarit and lonely in the cold and dark...thank you for coming back to save me." MY COZY SPOT IN THE COTTAGE...

Today I am going to peek out of my cozy spot on the sofa just long enough to say meow to all of you in thanks for your many wonderful comments you have left for me this week...MEOWZ! You can see how happy I am wrapped up in my pumpkin blanket...mommy pinned it and it is easy for me to get under like a tent and cuddle up tight on my heated pad...yes it is a good life for an old cat. Today I am waiting for Cole to come for a visit...that will make me smile for the first time all week...happy is a good thing....we wish it for all of you!!

let tears of joy outshed tears of grief...here at the cozy cottage we can not keep our hearts and minds on much of anything except the pain of loss and sorrow happening in Japan. The worry over loved ones, the suffering in the cold without water and much food...the uncertain future...the failing reactors is something we also worry about living near Hanford...this touches us deeply. We marvel at the bravery of the Japanese people...the lessons we learn from watching them is shaping how we live from this day on...be humble, help others, love those who are near to you and never again grumble about anything!

We continue to mourn...those in our hearts who have left us...my precious husbandcat Mickey, my brother Dragonheart, my sisters Suzanne and Princess...Oscar the Puppy Cat who adopted me when I first joined the Cat Blogosphere in 2007...so you see, I once had a father, sisters and a husband...now I am just a lonely old widow cat who loves you all so much and thanks you for the sweet visits that brighten my old days.

A CAT'S LIFE...

There's a black cat sleeping by the fire,
Peacefully sleeping on a rug,
The moon shines brightly in the night sky,
It brings little light through the small window,
But the cat is happy, at peace and content,
Slowly rises the sun, gradually she climbs the sky bringing
light to the world,
The cat wakes hearing the birds sweet song,
He watches a mouse run over the floor,
He crouches,
His tail swishes from side to side,
The mouse looks up and gives a small squeak,
But the cat is so strong and the mouse is too weak,
The poor mouse is now no more,
Except for her tail that lays on the floor,
This routine is kept daily,
But the cat's growing old,
He can't keep it up much more,
Though so many tails now lay on the floor,
The winter is cold and the wind brings a chill,
But the cat lays by the fire, he always will,
The fire is now out, but the cat is there still,
The moon may not shine,
And the sun may not rise,
But the cat's always there,
If I look with my eyes.

SNEAK PEEK FRIDAY...

Hello dearest friends....I am in charge of the post here today because Peach is a little bit bonkers right now. She will not give mommy back... the beautiful brown hat Auntie Deb sent her from the Wildcat Woods gangs store...she what I mean...she wants to wear it herself!!!

So today I want to give you a sneak peak at the watch and earring set mommy made for the beach kitty Shell's auction we are having on the CB right now. It will be offered next week but please go and see all the wonderful things we have up right now.... Dear little Shell is improving each day and it is a delight to read her mommies wonderful reports each day on her bloggy.

Well, we will show you more on Sunday and hope Peachy calms down by then...until then...we sit and wait for Spring on the beautiful mohair blanket our sweet ML sent to us...yes, I finally decided it was safe to lay on it a little bit...I am very careful with it...please go and visit ML and KC....KC is having a very difficult time right now and can use all of our purrrs...

REPORT FROM THE LEARNING CENTER...

I am hiding...come back Friday for the rest of my story! Oh goodness gracious...the cozy cottage in in a learning mode! We have new telephones we have to learn how to use...we have new email for the first time in 10 years and we have to notify everyone and learn how to use it! We have a new satellite dish we have to learn how to use! We are old and slow and learning is not fun for us...we HATE change! Bare with us while we try to get better organized...lapdaddy says it will all be worth it in the end. So can we hurry up and get to the end please! OK now we want lunch and recess...then a looooong nap! We are getting ready for the special auction for the Beach cat Miss Shell on March11...it will be such a wonderful way to help this sweet fighter of a kitty. Mommy is making a special watch and earring set....stay tuned to the auction blog of KC and Gracie.
We are purrrring hard for my beloved Mickey who is still not feeling much better...thank you for all your visits to his bloggy. It sure does cheer up his mommies heart to know how many of you care so much...I love you all for it...

CAT ART SUNDAY...MAGIC

What will you do with your one wild and crazy life? Just a little bit of our favorite early spring magic to brighten up this dreary weekend...the kitty image above and below remind me so much of our first date...Mickey came to call on me and asked if he could have a walkabout the garden here at the cozy cottage...that was the summer of 2007...then I fixed him tea on our patio...ahhhh I remember it so well...it was love at first sight...

So you see, I do believe in magic...it comes unexpected on tiny sunbeams...

I believe in kitties having wonderful fun together...no matter how long their lives may be..

It is not the number of days in your life that matters...it is the life in your days that does!

So come inside and lets have some tea, we can chat and dream about this and that, the cats we are or used to be and wish to be...

Mommy put the tea kettle on for us and went back to bed...

We are still dragging ourselves around the cozy cottage...gosh this is taking forever to go away...

MY HANDSOME MICKEY CAT IS VERY SICK...

In the sunshine is the best place to be when one is not feeling good...my beloved husband cat Mickey is sleeping there right now...his black fur shining like pure pewter...please send him your very best purrrrs for comfort during this time of indecision...his mommy is very worried about what he might decide to do. Life is so precious...love the ones you care about now...go hug them and tell them so. That you can do for me...I am sad too at the thought of losing my precious partner in old age. For now, we sleep and dream of sunbeams and wandering in the garden together...
