UPDATE: Lunch time and I am back from the Dr. Oliver's office. He is the nicest man and has been my Vettie since 2001. I have an upper respiratory infection that is not to bad because we caught it early. He gave me better medicine called Clavamox. It even tastes good, just ask mommy because the first dose went all over her! I will try and be good and take it all. Dr. Oliver said I am otherwise a strong old girl for my age and condition. My tummy tumor is still growing slowly and because I have been spayed he does no think it will turn malignant. I want to thank all of you ever so kindly for visiting me today and wishing me well. You mean so much to me, you love and encouragement warm my tiny heart. I am going to spend the day out napping in the sunshine while mommy Hoovers the house and hovers over me like a dragonfly in a holding pattern!
Mommy is a little worried about me because I keep sneezing and licking my wet nose. Lapdaddy is going to make an appointment to see my Vet Dr. Oliver. Hope he can give me some better medicine than ClindaCure. I hate that yucky stuff! I am sleeping in my warm CATraption with my little heated pad under the velvet and fleece cover. Mommy does not want me to be sick right now because they are going to Alaska in a week. Is a week long enough to get better...any advice is welcome.

When Tex was on antibiotics, they were usually 10 day courses, but there are medicially supervised boarding facilities that will take your pet. We got Texas boarded medically supervised for just over 200.00, and that was for an entire week!

Miss Peach, we think if you get some good medicines you will feel lots better in a week. Just don't go making yourself sick when your Mom and LapDaddy go on vacation. We will be sure to teleport over during that time to keep you company.

Our mommie and daddy came back from Alaska last month. Almost all of us started sneezing. We went to the vet and nothing was wrong. I'm hoping the same happens with you. Just some dust in your nose but nothing that's serious.

Has your mommie started giving you Lysine?
The Vet has some expensive Lysine, I'll bet, but when Chloe had her Upper Respiratory Infection last winter, I got some Lysine tabs from a drug store and ground them up in a mortar & pestle and put them on the kibble - no one else got the URI and Chloe got over hers quick.
Several bloggers clued me in on this, that some shelters use Lysine, and I believe it really worked!

Oh noes! I hope you feel better soon Miss Peach. Clindamycin is very yucky tasting. It's usually used for anaerobic infections, and in cats, especially of the teeths.
Maybe you would enjoy taking something in a tablet form that you can eat in a Pill Pocket?
Miss Peach you simply isn't allowed to be sicks, we hopez it is nothing bad.
I wishes I could offer your momma some advice but our Momma usually just makes sure the house is warm and lets us get over it in our own time :)

Wonderful news that you are feeling better, Miss Peach. Our China just finished her bottle of Clavamox. I put it in a little plain yogurt and she just lapped it up and she feels much better now.
