Mommy has been sick for a week now and she finally made her way to take a shower...as she drew back the curtain...I heard her scream! Not being a brave kitty, I stayed in my bed and wished her well. She was running around the house like crazy looking for someway to catch the intruder...Lapdaddy was not home...so she was on her own for sure.
First she put a sticky trap in the tub! WHAT WAS SHE THINKING...that was a dreadful idea! Then she got a big leather glove and chased that poor wee beastie around the tub until she caught it by the tail.
I gave the intruder a once over inspection...it passed. Mommy then took it out to the garden...
and released the wee creature on the cobblestone walk path...it sat quiet for a while beside the rock as if reading the message.
So much adventure for one day was enough to send mommy back to bed (after she bleached the tub)...rest is the best medicine....the shower can wait.

What a little cutie! We've had them in the house a couple of times and they are so much fun to chase! For some reason, this doesn't please my human and she catches them in a plastic container and takes them far away from the house (because they come into the attic here and don't play nice with the things in there).
As our little place is older, mousies often find a way in.
Mum often has to rescue them with a plastic container too
as they squeak too much when Julie plays with them ;)
We send purrs to your mum and hope she feels better soon.
Purrs Georgia and Julie,
Treasure and JJ
Oh my Cozy Cottage friends, what a big smile you gave me this morning!! Thank-you for saving the mouse and having a good story to go with it. Feel better soon, K.
Well, you are braver than I am – what if it had run up your arm to escape and then been loose in the house??? Oh my!
Your Mom is very brave! Glad the wee beastie made it outside safely! Hope Mom gets to feeling better soon!
Oh my goodness! Glad to hear the little rodent is where he should be but too bad your mom didn't get her shower. We hope she will feel better soon.
Yep, Jan would have been yelling and racing around too. Must be a human thing. We would probably have watched.
