This is our feral kitty Lion...he has lived in the cozy cottage garden for around 6 years. He is neutered (as you can tell from his left ear tipping) and well cared for. Each evening in the summer he comes by and takes a nap out on our courtyard or in his favorite chair on the deck. All of these many years I have longed to touch his fur and stroke his head with a gentle human touch. FINALLY....that day came last month. This week I was able to capture this special moment on camera. His is such a big broad boycat...oh how I now long to hold him in my arms...dare I dream so big? For the love of cats...I WILL! Wishing you all a happy Sunday.

What a handsome mancat he is! Glad you at least got to touch him. I've had many stray ferals over the years and it does take a lot of time and patience to gain their trust.
Love and hugs to all at the Cozy Cottage.

What a special moment! That is HUGE!
How thrilling, and just reward for your loving care and patience. Never heard of the ear-tipping before....
Oh boy! What a happy moment!
Your patience is paying off and a seed of trust has been planted.
What a lovely Tabby. Much like our JJ and Treasure :)

What a special event - glad he let you take his picture. A very handsome guy! XOX T.
Oh yeah, those moments are so special.
How wonderful for both of you! Thank-you for your good work.
Wow, Karla, that is so awesome. It's really special when a feral kitty trusts you completely. I had the same experience with Mr. Whiskers who was very feral. He was my first kitty ever and if he hadn't adopted me, I probably wouldn't have any kitties today. I love them so much.
