Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

I too loved the fact that the new Pope chose the name Francis. Perhaps along with working on some of the other issues in the Catholic church, more attention will be brought to animals -- we surely need that -- the world over.

What an adorable depiction of St. Francis.
Thank you for sharing that with us.

Hugs, pets and purrs,

I like this new Pope very much. He is such a kind and humble man. Lovely painting.

I really like that rendition of St. Francis.

I'm not Catholic, but it seems the new Pope is making a good impression. Much needed, I'm sure.

Thanks for the mention of "carbonite." I might look into it for my personal files!

I think I saw this painting on Etsy :)
I love depictions of St Francis.
St Clare was a friend of his, of course, and as he was founding the Franciscans she was founding the Poor Clares with is help. St Clare is usually depicted holding a monstrance, an adorned item used for displaying the consecrated host. BUT if you search, you may find images of her depicted with CATS as she loved them, and is patron of Cat Lovers. I have a card with this, and I'll scan a copy for you :)
