MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS...

Mommy is always keeping an eye out for my when I am outside...here we are looking at each other through the front door.  We are sorry that we do not have too much to share from the cozy cottage of late...our hearts are heavy...the anniversary of our beloved Miss Peach leaving us for the rainbow bridge is coming next week.  How do we mark such a day?  How do we get through such a day?  One thing we do know is that we treasure your love and thank you for holding us up when we lean over in sadness...

What a sweet photo of you sweetie.

I think your mommy should treat herself. What a special angel Miss Peach was, her adventures made us all smile and her lovely blog has made her friends around the world.

You can get through it, minute by minute. Know that we all love and care for you and support you during this emotional time.

Oh what an incredible photograph. You should send that to the Cat of the Day Hunny (You can lick the stamp and Karla can address the envelope!).

Summer is a bad time for me too so I can truly empathize and sympathize with the sadness at the cottage right now. Just know that so many people are thinking of Ms. Peach these days and sending healing hugs and pets to you all.

I believe that as each kit leaves for the Rainbow Bridge, they reserve a special place in our hearts just for them and we never forget them because they are always there in our heart. I am still grieving for Muffin too and remembering each day all of her many habits and special quirks!

Healing hugs and love to all at the cottage. Give Karla and Lapdaddy extra attention Hunny -- they need it right now.

What an artistic photo of Hunny Bunny. We know you are all sad at this time. We are sending purrs and hugs from our house.

People often plant a special tree as a memorial to someone. Maybe a special tree or shrub for Miss Peach should grace your garden?

What a great shot of Hunny Bunny. I know how heavy your heart is, Karla, and Miss Peach would not want you to be sad. She will never be forgotten and will always be in your heart. Celebrate her life and not her passing. You have so many beautiful memories of this special kitty and we love your sharing them with us. I liked Terri's idea of planting a special tree in memory of Miss Peach. We will be here for you when you get the sads.

Beautiful Picture of Hunny Bunny! She has been a gift during this time.
Sometimes grief lingers and lingers, it doesn't seem to move, instead it settles in, and maybe even gets worse. I believe what stumbles us is that we try to intellectualize grief, make sense of it, even finding fault with our own actions. You will get through it, just like you will get through the one year anniversary day of Miss Peach's passing. It's a milestone and anticipation of the day may be adding to the angst. Peachy will send her love back to you and you'll feel it. It will be okay. It will get better, you will feel better in time. Right now it's ok to feel this, and it's ok to take it easy and take all the time you need to process these feelings of sadness and grief.
I have had many cats in my life, all special, some really special, and only a very few are/were "heart cats". There's another "heart cat" out there for you. They won't be Miss Peach, but they will be perfect in their own way and they will heal you. I wish this for you more than anything.
