We looked outside today and the Eden roses were hanging their heads heavy with raindrops...
The clematis is nodding it's petals...
The front porch is all wet...
We turned on the little light in the front window because it got very dark and we wanted it to be cozy in the cottage...
Then mommy lay down on the sofa...I climbed up on her leg...
turned around and made myself real comfy...then we did what all should do in the soft summer afternoon's rain...we took a nap! Cole lay down for an hour after playing basketball in the gym all afternoon.....FOUR hours later...we all woke up! Yes, it was a fine use of time during the rain...then we ate dinner...played Rummy (Cole won) and watched I LOVE LUCY until early in the morning!

Ah sounds like the perfect day. The flowers are gorgegous; thanks for sharing them with us -- especially those of us who no longer grow them and miss those days.
I too love to snuggle up for a nap on a dark rainy day (especially with a cat or three snuggled with me.

Here we have storm, it is dark in the house too.
Steffen spent the morning at the THW with removing weeds from the walkway.
