This is mommies birthday gift from her grandchildren that she got last year! It is a Christmas cactus and once again in full glorious bloom! Not easy to do because one must be very patient and not move the cactus from it's place in the window other than to wash the leaves or water it. We love the hot pink color because it is so 50's retro!
hmmmmmm do you notice anything in this picture that should not be there?
nom nom nom....
hee hee I helped try out the decorations...

you aren't supposed to move a christmas cactus? oops....mom puts her outside every summer (and has managed to get it to bloom every year despite having a black thumb). Ours is that pink color too and mom loves it!
Oh the Christmas cactus is glorious -- love the brilliant color. And Hunny you are a dickens to nom on the holiday decorations!! But cats will be kittens when they can, especially around midnight when they race around the house chasing some invisible object or one that only they can see.
Hugs, pets and purrs,

I had to look really carefully - but I saw that lil' tree! And that is a lovely Christmas cactus. Enjoy it!
That is a very pretty Christmas Cactus. All Mom remembers seeing are red ones. Is that your very own Christmas tree, Hunny?
You look great and so does that cactus!
That little tree is supposed to be a Christmas decoration? It sure looks like a cat toy to me!
Oh sisterkitty, you are proving to be a handful ;) heeheehee

Trying out the decorations is an important job, Hunny. You do it very well.
I never have trouble with my Christmas cacti blooming no matter what I do with them. I have several that are all babies of the one my mother grew (which has to be at least 50 years old or more now). I remember her moving it from the cool bedroom, where it lived most of the year, out to the living room at the holidays.

Mommy has such a bright green flourescent thumb. Everything thrives under her gentle care. I'm glad you didn't eat that little Christmas tree, Hunny Bunny. It probably wouldn't have tasted very good.
Hope you had a wonderful Birthday! T.
It flowers so lovely.
My "Weihnachts Kaktus" from last year flowered on Easter again until summer. Now I think it will last until January before he ist full flowers again. I only can see some very tiny closed flower.
Ich habe einen sehr unpuenktlichen Weihnachts Kaktus ;)

Your mommy has quite the touch with everything. Those Christmas cactus cactus plants, well, most plants, are hard to make thrive. For our mom at least!
How thrilling to snag that wee tree and have some illicit fun Hunny!
Teri got 2 Christmas cactus last year but they didn't bloom for her, but they are still alive...that is kinda surprising in itself, hahameow! Oh, Hunny...you are a tree hugger!
