Today I remember when this card arrived for my precious Miss Peach...
She was deathly ill and laying by the fire...
I thought her days were few and I prayed the words of the card to come true!
AND THEN THEY DID!!!
LIVESTRONG AND NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!!!
~here is the complete poem, if you click on the photo abouve, it will take you back to October 2007 and my story~
~On a night of snow~
Cat, if you go outdoors you must walk in the snow
You will come home with little white shoes on your feet
Little white slippers of snow that have heels of sleet
Stay by the fire my Cat. Lie still, do not go.
See how the flames are leaping and hissing low
I will bring you a saucer of milk like a marguerite
So white and so smooth, so spherical and so sweet
Stay with me, Cat. Outdoors the wild winds blow.
Outdoors the wild winds blow, mistress, and dark is the night
Strange voices cry in the trees intoning strange love;
And more than cats move, lit by our eyes' green light,
On silent feet where the meadow grasses hang hoar,
Mistress, there are portents abroad of magic and might,
And things that are yet to be done. Open the door.

We are so happy you did not go! We think you are one of the most purrecious kitties on the CB. We love coming to visit you and your uplifting posts. The card is lovely and you are so much more! Miss Hunny Bunny too!
Misses Peach we are so glad you stayed with us.
Misses Peach, we are so happy, too, that you didn't go! Big smooches and kitty kisses and don't get any ideas to go anywhere for a long time, either!
We are so happy that you pulled though that bad time!
I am glad you still have your dear sweet Miss Peach! Your mommy took such great care of you, and you loved her enough to work hard to stay! Bless you, and this post made me feel 'thankful' today - for the gift of life.
Hugs, Beth
I so remember. I had not been blogging long and remembered how sick you were. LIVESTRONG sweet friend.. Hugs GJ x
What memories those sad pictures brought back to us. You on your pretty blue fuzzy blankie and mommy sleeping by the fire with you.
We cried every day with her and what celebration when you finally ate that food with such gusto!!!!!!
We love you Peach!

Lovely card, lovely poem, and so happy you are still with us lovely Peach. Such a nice tribute by your mom.
I so enjoyed your countdown to fall -- and boy has it arrived with a cold wave. But the countdown to the end of DST is not fun at all. I'll miss getting out at night as unlike cats, I don't like to travel in the dark!
Hugs, Pets and Purrs,
Lorraine
I remember that beautiful card and I'm glad you're still there!
So very happy that you pulled through! I read many pages of your blog lastnight from in 2007. Waht a beautiful story and pictures to go with it! I was in tears reading it. I honestly think that you & Mommy Karla should publish a bunch of pages with the pictures included from your blog- it would be a good seller in print- and maybe Title it "Livestrong"!-- It tells so much about life and love, & is truly touching.- Love you Misses Peach and Karla too!!--xo-Stormy the Maltese doggy...
