MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

A SERIOUS QUESTION...ABOUT A KITTEN AND A BUTTERFLY

I want to try to infuse a little cat poetry into my weekly posts along with mommies art collages she likes to make. We think in this stressful world we need all the beauty we can find. We will try to bring that to you...we hope to make you smile and maybe even want to come back each week for more PRETTY POETRY... Our first poetry post is dedicated to Pierro and Miles in their Happy Place. They have been showering us with quotable wisdom for years and we are smarter kitties because of it. Thank you for inspiring our new Monday feature!

~A Serious Question~
A kitten went a-walking
One morning in July
And idly fell a-talking
With a great big butterfly.
The kitten's tone was airy,
The butterfly would scoff;
When there came along a fairy
Who whisked his wings right off.
And then, - for it is written
Fairies can do such things,
Upon the startled kitten
She stuck the yellow wings.
The kitten felt a quiver,
She rose into the air,
Then flew down the river
To view her image there.
With fear her heart was smitten,
And she began to cry:"
Am I a butter-kitten?
Or just a kitten-fly?"

Oh what a terrific poem. And what a great idea to add poetry to the beautiful things on your blog each time Ms. Peach. You are adorable with wings -- and rightly so. Today's post is gorgeous in every way.

Big hugs, pets and purrs to all at the cottage.

I've seen stories of cats with wings, but not butterfly wings. They are beautiful! I like your poem, too. Mine are more "pass-the-pint" heigh-ho. I'm so glad I visited!
Blessings,
Tom
