MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

CAT BOOK REPORT!

What better thing to do on a frosty cold winter day than take a catnap? Take a nap on the book shelf maybe?
Have mommy read a mouse story to you by the fireplace
where it is warm and cozy?
Let me pour you a cuppa Lady Grey tea and sit down in the comfy chair....
or do like these two....
Rainbow Bridge: A True Story about Rescue Cats by Susan Cilyk...Report furnished by our friend Lorraine Layne...
This is a sweet little book by a British lady talking about the cats she has had during her life -- those she kept and those she fostered. I'm sure she didn't cover all of them as she did this for 15 years. There are some cute anecdotes and sweet stories. She does a great job of describing the cats and their personalities. Fortunately for me, as I cry so easily about the loss of cats in books/movies/stories, Susan handles those with deftness and brevity and goes right into the next story so one doesn't have time to dwell on the sadness. I like the way she wrote it. It's 129 pages, paperback, and a very very quick read.

The Unscratchables by Cornelius Kane...report furnished by our furrrrend Lorraine Layne. If you click on the photo, it will take you to the Barnes & Noble review for the book.
This is a very unusual book. At the bottom of the front cover it says: A New Breed of Crime Novel. I found the writing very witty and especially enjoyed reading a story from a dog and cat's perspective but also enjoying the way they wove people issues, habits, names, personalities, etc. into the story. It's a mystery and I don't want to say more and spoil the fun. But below are three items of interest, quoted from the back of the book. This is also a paperback and is 259 pages. Crusher McNash is the police force's most fearless detective, a barrel-chested bull terrier with a biscuit-thin temper and a barbed-wire tongue. Cassius Lap is the finest agent in the Feline Bureau of Investigation, an imperturbable Siamese with a mind as sharp as a can opener. San Bernardo is their territory, a seething metropolis where fatcats prance in the exclusive enclave of Kathattan while working dogs wallow in the stinking squalor of the Kennels.

I like the picture with the guy reading in the bed and the kitty reading with him. That is pretty nice. Mom reads in bed and I sit with her but I can't read.

Happy bonkbonk Week-end MissPeach

Oh Miss Peach, our mewmie got to talk to your mewmie on the telephone yesterday and she was smiling the whole time!

After she hung up, she had an idea, as the whole time they were talking, Coco was meowing in the background. And since our mewmie thought it was so nice to hear Mumma Jan's voice, that how fun it would be to start a Meowing Monday and have all the CB record their kitty voices so all of us would know what our catpals sound like.

Mewmie said she is going to record Coco today...wonder how that will turn out? Quiet as a mouse, maybe... for once!
