Hello dear friends...I want to tell you that 13 years ago today my mommy and Lapdaddy got married. It is their wedding anniversary. But even more special, today is also my dear Lapddadies 70th birthday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU LAPDADDY!
I think I owe the TOOTH FAIRIE an apology because she finally came and left me all of these wonderful gifts yesterday! New gardening tools in a pretty pink bag and all the pampering paw salves and soaks and soaps and sprays I need after a hard day out in the flower garden. Pretty cards came to my mailbox to cheer me along my recovery. The wonderful vintage pin above is my very first wedding gift from our dear ML. I think it is so purrrrfect for the theme of our wedding because it will be a Vintage Affair. Thank you dearest Tooth Fairie MLand Auntie Deb.
This was my birthday gift to my Lapdaddy today...I came out of my sick bed and jumped up on his lap and stayed for over an hour cuddled up in his big strong arms. He rubbed my head gently and told me that my furs are looking better and that my breath doesn't smell bad anymore, music to my ears.
This is the best phone call I ever got in my life..

Peach, this is the mommy of the kitties over at Our family cat-a-blog. Your mommy asked me how I keep Miss Camille Suzanne's hair so pretty and mat-free. I am here to share my little ideas.
Believe it or not, I hardly ever use a brush on my cats. I have a wide-tooth comb. They don't like it all the time but I tell them to "get over it" and that it will be over soon. They're fairly even tempered with me about this although I get some rotten looks when I am finished.
Next, if there are mats, I use an old trick taught to me by a dog groomer...a seam ripper! You take the ripper and insert it very carefully at the base of the mat pointing out and quickly pull. This cuts the mat in half. If the mat is large, you may need to do this several times. Once you have cut the mat in several pieces, you can then either brush or comb the hair. The mat is gone and you haven't had to use scissors near the kitty's skin which can end up in a huge owie.
I do have a furminator, too, and use it mostly on Rosemary JOY because with her short hair a comb does no good.
Once you get all of the mats out of your sweetie pie and comb her, then use the furminator. I know this sounds like a lot of work but once you've done it once, really good, it's a snap to keep the kitties looking pretty and, it also really cuts down on hairballs and the discomfort they bring.
Rosemary JOY is terrified of hairballs. If she feels like she is going to bring one up she runs to me crying horribly trying to get away from her "bad feeling". Once I calm her down she pops it out. She is such a gentle soul that anything out of the ordinary and she is just stunned!
All of us over here are so thrilled that Peach is feeling better. Babies and animals...when they suffer there is no way to tell them it will get better or to ask what is wrong. Such a helpless feeling.

We are all so happy to hear you are OK wif both you teef and the bumpy-thing. Mom's computer was sick and we haven't been by to see you in a while, but Aunt Tina has talked to Mom on that ringy-thing and we herd Mom mention about you.
We are sad too as our Uncle Max isn't here anymore. Mom said that he was in pain and very, very sic. Dr. Rob came and helped him to the Rainbow Bridge. We are sad but he was so sicks and hurts and he could not stand up well anymore. Mom said that he won't feel the pains anymore. Then Mama told us to behave and be quiet.
We are so glad you are OK. Mom says for us to tell you to tell Karla and Lapdaddy to have a happy Anniversary!

I am so glad you enjoyed your goodie box. The beautiful pink gardening tool set was from Auntie Deb, wouldn't you know... she snuck it in as I was wrapping the package.
I hope you love the Muscle Mist as much as I do, it is addictive. Very relaxing, you don't even need a strained muscle to use it. All the items are from Prairieland Herbs, I use them everyday. My favorites.
