CAT ART SUNDAY

Today's Cat Art Sunday features a sweet card that came in today's mail all the way from Langley in BC Canada from mommies nice friend Shirley. She saw it at a crafts fair and thought about me! I love my friends for their little kindnesses....it is in the little things done with great love, that the grandest gifts develop! Oh and isn't the message just purrrrfect for those of us who have to deal with kittens!?

Today is the first Advent Sunday and I will light my first candle tonight and usher in the beginning of the Christmas season.

A HOPEFUL HELLO...FOR A STRANGER

Mein name ist Micky...ich bin sehr Krank

Hello dearest friends....today my post is dedicated to a kitty in Germany that I do not know. He is a beautiful ginger boy name Micky who found a loving forever home after roaming as a feral. Last week his mommy found him after being missing for five days. He lay badly hurt under the hedge of a nearby garden. She took him to the Vet and after an Xray she was told that some incredible cruel person (I use that term lightly) had shot Micky! So he had lay there for days in extreme pain unable to move until he was found by his heartbroken mommy. Micky still has the bullet inside his intestines and is badly sore and swollen. I am not sure why he is not getting an operation at this time. His mommy is heartbroken at the thought of losing her Micky due to this horrible act of cruelty. Micky is in great need of your prayers and his mommy Angelika your encouragement. If you have a little time to comfort a stranger, I would be ever so grateful to you if you dropped by to say hello. Mickey is German, but I know that "I LOVE YOU" are universal words and that is all it takes.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY TO ALL OF MY DEAREST FRIENDS...

I am grateful for all of my Blessings and remember the kindness of the Indians who feasted with the settlers on that first Thanksgiving celebration, for without friends....we can not make it on our own!

THANKFUL WORDS TO REMEMBER...

One more day to go till Thanksgiving...

I am going to sleep until I smell that turkey roasting in my kitchen! It was very cold last night and we are thankful for the heated Rubbermaid condo for Hunny Bunny! YEAH!!!!

GIVE THANKS ON TUESDAY....

Today I am so thankful for my warm cozy cottage....it is real cold outside and I like to be close to the stove where it is warm. Yesterday mommy and Lapdaddy went to the store to buy a big heated pad for Hunny Bunny's Rubbermaid condo. Now she and her kitten will be warm and toasty when it is freezing outside. It costed a squillion green papers but when you take on the responsiblity to care for others who grow to depend on you, you need to do all you can for them. Last night mommy peeked out the window and saw Hunny go inside the condo and the kitten followed her. The heated pad is a smart pad that only begins to warm when pressure is applied.

A THANKSGIVING WEEK BEGINS

What the heck is this mommy? Another new blanket for me to sleep in?I am suppose to get inside of it?It is so soft and I like the autumn color very much.Hey, it has a little bag for me to cuddle up in...Now I can stay real close to you mommy when we sit on the sofa together. I will feel very safe and cozy.

FANCY FEAST FRISKIE FRIDAY!

You all know that I am a very tiny cat. I weigh 5 pounds...that's like a Twiggy cat! I do not eat too much, but I do eat the best mommy can find for me. A can of Fancy Feast fits the ticket for me each day. My dry biscuits are all natural and I like those all the time. I also like to lick the empty cans out nice and clean. Mommy is always careful to only allow me to lick cans without sharp edges. I do not get to eat food prepared for Hunny Bunny and Buddy...they eat Friskies and Western Family brand...LOTS of it as you can see on the china de jour we serve at the Frisbee Cafe. Hunny Bunny eats first, then she brings the elusive kitten...Buddy always waits to eat last as he is the ultimate gentleman cat. We always warm up the food as there is nothing better to sooth a weary tummy than a warm meal. Lately mommy measures every $10 she spends by saying this could buy an 18 pound bag of kitty kibble! We pick up a bag at the store each time we shop just in case we get snowed in or something...What is your favorite thing to eat?

My favorite tip for you today is: If you have cold paws, sit on the warm laptop! Just don't get caught doing it. I froze up mommies curser and it took her an hour to figure out how to unstick it

THANKFUL THURSDAY THOUGHTS

Thank you all so much for coming by yesterday and commiserating with me over the loss of Auntie Debs care package. The wonderful kitties from the Beaded Tail even offered to go to the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse and get us another model...how nice is that!? Lapdaddy told us that we are going to the Oregon coast for a week in January so we will get one then...I get to come along this time and don't have to go to the Kitty Cat Hilton! We hope to have some nice winter storms there by the ocean... What will I have for lunch today mommy?

Today I am wondering if I could put some cat food into the Thanksgiving basket at Church. I have quite a stash as you can see. There is turkey Fancy Feast just right for a hungry less fortunate kitty somewhere. What do you think?

WHY WOE ON WEDNESDAY!

Well kitties...here is what has me so upset! This care package was suppose to be in Auntie Deb's Taylor Cats mailbox by now! Yesterday it was in MY mailbox...that's not all...see that letter there It was stuffed inside the EMPTY box!!! After I read it I just gave the Post Office a raspberry!
If you bigafy, you can read what they said in it. The cliff notes are: the stuff is lost! LOST! LOST! LOST! I just don't know how this happened because I wrapped so much tape around the box it would hold world together!

Now poor Auntie Deb will not have the calico sisters to cheer her up...not the cookies, chocolates and coffee...not my pretty hand stamped kitty card, not the seashell angel and not the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse model. My beans got married in that lighthouse and Auntie Deb likes lighthouses....but everything is lost. We might as well file a claim, because we have nothing left to LOSE!!!!

CALICO SISTERS ARE MISSING!!!

Kitties I am really upset today!
The two remaining calico sisters are missing and I do not think we will ever be able to find them again!!! They were going to their new home very far away and it was going to be a surprise for their new owner to receive them. I will show and tell you more tomorrow...today I am just too sad about all this..... SIGHHHHHH

SEASONS ON MONDAY...

Autumn brings cozy times inside the house warm on a blanket....I dream of my favorite tree and remember the past year...

There is no tree quite like the Dogwood for beauty and interest through out the seasons. This is Cherokee Daybreak and it is planted center stage in front of my living room window! This has been a good year with much to be thankful for...hopes fullfilled, wishes turned blessings, miracles granted, prayers answered. I am still here...the best of all things!
