Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

~Tea Stories~
Around the time August arrives, many of the grasses that line the roads and inhabit the fields begin to send their seeds into the wind. A few red and yellow leaves stand out unexpectedly against the summer ground where they fell prematurely from the maples.

It happens sometimes that life changes in ways not understood until later. What is not unknown is how very much we miss Tasha. Her rocking chair by the wood stove is empty now save for the blue check pillow on the seat and the red shawl over the back.

Her many cheerful remarks and observations throughout the day are forever unsaid, and the lifelong tradition of afternoon tea those who live here are used to is very quiet now, for we miss her. There are moments when it seems, if we looked, we might see her in the rocking chair and hear her voice again as she looks over the rim of her teacup.

Earlier this year she said we were all going in the same direction, that death is not something to be afraid of. Yet it is difficult to come to terms with the departure of the head of the family, and someone so loved. Her corgi Megan misses her as well, and all the green, growing plants seem a little solemn.

Here are a few things we learned from Granny: Never use the word “can” when you should use “may.” Always take your hat off in the house. Pay less attention to what people say, and more to what they do. “It is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind.” Life is short, do what’s important to you. Never use tea bags, use real tea instead. Feed yourself properly. She could always tell when you weren’t eating well. “I’ll make you a real supper.” Have a wood stove in your house. Cats make the best hot water bottles. Don’t dwell excessively on the past. Be positive. Plant a garden.

Good Morning Sunshine!!!! <3
Tasha sounds like a lovely person. Those who knew her loved her and miss her. She sounds like the kind of person that would make you feel good just by seeing her smile.
I think she was one of those people that feel like they are still here after they have gone :) Their presence is so strong.
Thank you for sharing these little bits about her.

I love you my Sweet Peach!!!

Wow.. I'm glad that you shared this nice piece of Tasha's work. There are so many lessons to learn from it and so many hidden advices that could change the real meaning in a person's life.

Do you know.. Happiness is like a perfume... Whenever you spray some on others, you will eventually get some on yourself. That's the facts of Life! Thanks for making the CB a happier place Miss Peach :)

Tasha was an amazing woman. I think Mommy Karla and her were cut from the same cloth.
How are you and Mommy today, Miss Peach? I hope all is happy and lovely at The Cozy Cottage.
It has just started to rain a bit here. I'm a little lonely, as my daughter has gone camping for the weekend with friends. My husband has a 3 day weekend coming up tomorrow, so maybe we will try to do something fun.
How is your crafting going Karla? I am enjoying making collages and I want to try stamping.
Is Peach sleeping in her hot/cold bag today, or watching her kitty friends in the backyard? :) My kitties are all napping this afternoon.
Have a wonderful day okay?
You are loved Dear Ones!

Miss Peach, It's very late - or early? - and we're exhausted. But we came over after we learned about sweet Maxime. We know she was a good friend of yours, so we wanted to leave some {{{{hugs}}}} for you and your mom.

This is an exhausting week and it isn't even over yet.
