MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

ON THE NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS......

~~~The Pastor's Cat ~~~
This particular story just made me laugh. Every time I think about it, the vision of that poor cat just amuses me no end. Hope the story leaves a bright spot in your day. Whoever said the Creator doesn't have a sense of humor?
Dwight Nelson recently told a true story about the Pastor of his church. He had a kitten that climbed up a tree in his backyard and then was afraid to come down. The Pastor coaxed, offered warm milk, etc. The kitty would not come down. The tree was not sturdy enough to climb, so the Pastor decided that if he tied a rope to his car and pulled it until the tree bent down, he could then reach up and get the kitten. That's what he did, all the while checking his progress in the car. He then figured if he went just a little bit further, the tree would be bent sufficiently for him to reach the kitten. But as he moved the car a little further forward, the rope broke. The tree went 'bo-innng!' and the kitten instantly sailed through the air, out of sight. The Pastor felt terrible. He walked all over the neighborhood asking people if they'd seen a little kitten. No. Nobody had seen a stray kitten So he prayed, 'Lord, I just commit this kitten to your keeping,' and went on about his business. A few days later he was at the grocery store, and met one of his church members. He happened to look into her shopping cart and was amazed to see cat food. This woman was a cat hater and everyone knew it, so he asked her, Why are you buying cat food when you hate cats so much?' She replied, 'You won't believe this,' and then told him how her little girl had been begging her for a cat, but she kept refusing. Then a few days before, the child had begged again, so the Mom finally told her little girl, 'Well, if God gives you a cat, I'll let you keep it.' She told the Pastor, 'I watched my child go out in the yard, get on her knees, and ask God for a cat. And really, Pastor, you won't believe this, but I saw it with my own eyes. A kitten suddenly came flying out of the blue sky, with its paws outspread, and landed right in front of her.' Never underestimate the Power of God and His unique sense of humor!
Miss Peach would NOT like me to inform you that she has peed in her pretty fuzzy BLUE blanket today...not once, but twice. I told her if she did not behave she will NOT have a birthday tea party! She thinks she can get away with these little annoying things these days...I caught her skipping down the hallway singing...Sassy and Ruis love me and think I am so special! Oh such a DIVA! I promise to make her come and visit you all very soon. She has been helping me clear out the bookcases of excess clutter like we do each January. Her job is to snoopervise so nothing of hers gets tossed out. We hope to be done soon and miss you all.
That was such a cute story! It reminds me of the conversation my husband and I always have whenever a new kitty joins our family. I tell him that my grandmother sent the kitty to me from Heaven. He says, "Well tell her to stop!" Miss Peach, even though you had an oops on your blanket you are still an angel. You should see how Cricket is behaving today! There's dry cat food scattered all over the kitchen floor and a few minutes ago I heard something fall in the dining room and she came running full tilt into the living room and darted under the sofa.(Sigh) Have a happy, snuggly day!
Love and Purrs,
Lorianna
Uh-oh, sounds like Miss Peach is in trouble. We know she loves her little blue blanket.
We hope keeping busy with snoopervising will help her forget about her accidents, so she will do better.
Our mom is cleaning bookcases and clutter spots this week too! We snoopervise, but she doesn't seem to weed out very much to trash or donate. So the bookcases are still full and the clutter spots collect more clutter!
Hahaha, I love that story, Miss Peach! That's too bad you peed on your nice blankie. Sophie peed on a cat bed last year because she stayed in a hidey place all day.
Our dear Miss Peach - try to remember to use your kitty box so you don't make a mess for your Mommy to clean up.
That is a VERY funny story - I shall tell all my friends to come read it!
My birthday is in January too! On the 12th. It is a very good month to have a birthday (except for when it snows...)
Take care and be good now. T.
We love the story, Miss Peach! We heard our Purr-sen say that she thought there was a sign somewhere that said, "Cat purr-sen lives here" and that's why we all found our way to her.
Little does she know, she's right. ;-)
