The houses on FRONT STREET look like they are made of Gingerbread.
Watch the scene flow as we pan to the right
with the two following photos...
The park and Gazebo are across from Front Street... The ruts on the slope are from children and their sleds:)
I met Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge right after he saw the error of his miserly ways!

Der Heilige Sankt Nikolaus told the story
of how he gave gifts to the poor.
Yes, there is a Santa Claus...indeed he was real!! The cast of 'THE NUTCRACKER' were on hand
to greet little fans and make the magic
more than real for them!
Tomorrow I will show you the town lighting ceremony, the highlight of the weekend for thousands of travelers who come to this tiny magical town in the Alps of Washington...to find the real spirit of ~Weihnachten~

Wonderful photos, Miss Peach! :) It looks just like a Bayrisches Dorf! Sehr schön! Fröhliche Weihnachten!
That town is definately something out of a fairy story!
That looks like it's so fun. My human only goes to winter wonderlands that have large hills she can slide down on these funky boards on her feet. Do you know cats are not typically allowed?
Beautiful scenery. Looks like the family had soooooo much fun! Hope you did too, sleeping by the fire.

We have really enjoyed our tour with you! Thank you so much for showing us around! How lucky that you were able to go. Our humans went to Germany last year just after Christmas, but can you believe that they left us home, ALONE! What nerve! And this year they are going to Spain, ugh. Alone again!
Looks like you are having a great time. Can't wait to see more photos.
Love,
Your farmboys
ps. We really enjoyed watching the video of you playing. What a beautiful cat you are. It is so nice to see you doing so well, you really gave a scare a while back!
Oah, unbelievable, that´s better than the real Germany. All together, that Christkind, Nutcracker, the Nikolaus, Mr. Scrooge...and a lot of snow !
I love your pictures.
What an amazing journey. Cole is one lucky little boy to get to see such an enchanted place like Leavenworth. It looks like a fairy tale right out of a story book.
And what a beautiful view you have from your room, Miss Peach. Wow...it looks so pretty.
Congratulations on your Award. You are one special girlcat that deserves such a pretty award.
Warm hugs...G

Karla & Miss Peach - your trip to Leavenworth was definately worth the beautiful pictures that you brought home - what fun for the grandbean to get to see all the characters - I've never been there in the winter time - what fun. Tina
Oh wowie, how wunnerful yur pickshures are! Me and momma and the rest of the Ballicai feel like we're right there with you!
Kittyhugs and purrs and lots of lovies frum MaoMao!
It certainly is very German (or so Mom says). She is very jealous that you have a real German village so close to you. We do have 2 little shopping areas nearby, and one really good restaurant, but you must feel like you are actually in a little German village.
Thank you for sharing your photos. You made Mom homesick - she usually gets this way at Christmas time when she misses Germany the most.

That really is a winter wonderland!
Miss Peach,
Mom's dad was in the American Air Force and they spent 4-1/2 years in Germany, and she loved every minute she was there. She moved there the day before her 7th birthday. Papa was stationed in Bitburg, which is in the Mosel region, near Trier and very close to Luxemburg. Dragonheart's blog also makes Mom homesick. She still considers herself to have grown up in Germany. Our grandparents made sure that Mom and her brothers got to see Europe while they were there. They did volksmarching, and traveled every chance they got, even if it was just to Trier or to Luxemburg City.

Oh Miss Peach, it's like a town out of a fairytale!! Thank you for sharing with us.
Your FL furiends,
Your pictures really do remind me of a storybook. :) I hope Miss Peach enjoyed soaking up the warmth from the fireplace while her "beans" played in the snow.
Hugs and Purrs,
Lorianna
Wow. What a magical Christmouse-y place.
