MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

Momma said there'd be days like this, there'd be days like this my momma said!

How to Give a Cat a Pill (so she can be in the PINK again soon like in the art photo above that Ann of Zoolatry made of me!)

1) Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

2) Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

3) Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.

4) Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

5) Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.

6) Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

7) Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered Doulton figurines from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.

8) Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.

9) Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply Band-Aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.

10) Retrieve cat from neighbor's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.

11) Fetch screwdriver from garage and put door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus shot. Throw tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.

12) Call fire department to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbor who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil-wrap.

13) Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed, force cat's mouth open with small wrench. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of filet mignon. Hold head vertically and pour 1/2 pint of water down throat to wash pill down.

14) Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture store on way home to order new table.

15) Arrange for SPCA to collect cat and call pet shop to see if they have any hamsters or fish.
SKEEZIX said for mommy to just buy a pill plunger thingy at the V E T's....well mommy gots one of those things but the capsules just keep falling out before she can get that thing in my mouth. She doesn't know that I am blowing them out of that thing with my tuna breath!
Have a wonderful day everycat....I am staying right here in the frying pan:) Go away mommy...I am on to your tricks!

Oh, Miss Peach, I do hope you are so much better soon. I hate to see you have a cold. Please take care of yourself and take your medicine. My bean laughed and laughed at the giving us cats a pill thing. It was adorable.
I personally have never had to take a pill. Hopefully I won't ever have to.
This is what happens when I take a couple of days off, everyone gets sick.
I'm purring really loud and hard for you my sweet, sweet friend.
Is it raing where you are yet?
It's sure been raining, windy and cold here for three days now.

Hugs and purrs...G

The funny thing is: I love to take pills! I can't get them quick enough in my mouth! I do it before my humans have a chance to try to feed it to me.
I hope you feel better soon. Good that you have your fry pan! That looks like a good place for you to rest.
Love and healing purrs.

Second, we want you to get better, so drink lots and rest.

Third, we have read this pill thing before. The first time mommie read it she nearly peed her pants, hahahaha but she was crying from laughing so much. She particularly liked #10 hahahahaha

Poor Miss Peach! Pills are not a kitty's best friend by any stretch of the imagination. But being sick is worse, isn't it? I hope your snuggle fleece in your frying pan is bringing you some relief and that Mommy is not overly worried. We love you! Cindy and the Kitties at Rosehaven Cottage

Thanks for stopping by our bloggie and giving us an update. I'm glad you're eating and drinking and using your litterbox. Good job on giving your mom trouble with the pills (even though you don't feel good!). When I had my tummy surgery, I had to take lots of pills and liquids and there was always more of that on my mom and dad than in me. heh heh

Oh this made me have a good laugh! My servant shove my pills in those special treats with holes in them, those treats taste so good that i just crunch up that pill. Sometimes I eat all of the treat and the pill falls out but it keeps that good candy odor so I just eat it anyway. Hope you feel better soon.

If it is alright I will teleport over later today and cuddle up with you to keep you warm in your frying pan.

I am sorry you are having trouble taking your medicines, Miss Peach. Do you like Pill Pockets? Some, but not all, cats will eat medicines in a Pill Pocket. I hope you are feeling better soon so you can get out of your frying pan and have some fun!

hehehe, my momma loved that how to give a cat a pill thingie! She was crackin' up ofur that.

I'm glad you're nice and snug in yur fryin' pan and that you're feelin' bettur -- Brainball's gonna come ofur and snuggle with you and enjoy some sister snuggles -- you and her can help each other keep feelin' bettur.

My wonderful sweet Peachy sister, I love you, too! How would you like some floofy snuggles in the frying pan today?

Thank you so much for your purrs and your well wishes! I am doing much better today -- I even did some of my Alpha Cat patrolling this morning, and I ate! Mom still thinks I need to hack up a hairball or have another good bathroom trip before I am 100%, but she is feeling much better about how I am doing, though she is keeping a close eye on me and if I don't keep on getting better, I'll have to go to the vet. With my floof, I'm very prone to hairballs and constipation, though Mom usually helps keep that under control with my hairball remedy, which I take daily.

Ah, well -- sometimes we kitties get a little bit icky-feeling, don't we? But it's always good when it passes, and we feel like ourselves again! Snuggle up to me, sister-mine, and we'll help purr each other warm and well!

Much love and floofy headbonks from Brainball!

Ohhhh, sweet Peachy, I'm laughing so hard at the cat pill list that my sides are fit to split! *GIGGLE GIGGLE GIGGLE*!! Mom read it out loud to Dad, and they laughed and laughed, too. Hilarious!

I hope you are feeling better today, dearest -- I'll come join you in the frying pan and help you and Brainball feel better -- Brainball is having a much better day today, I'm happy to say, and thank you so much for your purrs. Please please don't worry that you gave Brainball a bug or anything; you didn't. She's prone to hairballs and constipation because of her floof, and she's eating better, and just now, she was watching a wrestling match between Dorydoo and MaoMao. Mom can tell by looking at her face that she's feeling more herself, and she's resumed her Brainball Patrols, which are very important to the proper running of our household. We Ballicai wouldn't know what to do with our beautiful fuzzy protector. *smile* She loves you very much, as do I and all the Ballicai!

Purrs and snuggles and love from your ever-adoring sister,

Marilyn.

p.s. -- guess what, yesterday when Brainball started feeling noticeably better, I was so happy that I gave her a kiss on the ear!

Oh Miss Peach you made us laugh. We hope you get better soon. It's no fun taking pills. OUr mom gave up on trying to give pills to our big brofur for his heart and got beef flavored liquid meds - after a while she went back to crushed pills and that time it worked. Guess he forgot he didn't like the taste of pills. Wonderful picture from Zoolatry.

I am so stunned about so much wonderfulness! I love the charm and pendant and I will post about it tomorrow and I hope you will be well enough to get your behind off that fridge and come over. That last sentence in your comment on my post today got me really worried!!!
Thank you so much, Miss Peach for these beautiful presents, and the lovely poem, though it got the maid all teary again, she still cries almost every day.
Get better, please!

Miss Peach I just finished writing to Dragonheart about a product called Pill Pockets. Kali loves to take her pills because mommy wraps them up in a Pill Pocket and she just lovesthose things. Sometimes she lets the rest of us have an empty Pill Pocket cuz they're just so very yummy.

Can I send you a package of them? Please give me your address at my e-mail tylertattles@gmail.com.

I am so upset to hear that you aren't feeling well. I'm going to go back and read what's wrong. Please, please, please get well soon!
