MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

~More Dansing~

by Edward Lear
The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey, and plenty of money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
"0 lovely Pussy, 0 Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!"
Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl,
How charmingly sweet you sing!
Oh! let us be married; too long we have tarried,
But what shall we do for a ring?"
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the bong-tree grows;
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood,
With a ring at the end of his nose,
His nose,
His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.
"Dear Pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?" Said the Piggy, "I will."
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince and slices of quince,
Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
The moon,
The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.

~~~The Children of the Owl and the Pussycat~~~
Our mother was the Pussy-cat, our father was the Owl,
And so we're partly little beasts and partly little fowl,
The brothers of our family have feathers and they hoot,
While all the sisters dress in fur and have long tails to boot.
My post today is dedicated to my furry sister Marilyn....see her in the boat?
She inspires my days and makes me want to be a better cat>(^,^)<
Ohhhh, my darling sister Peachy, you have made my heart just swell with joy and giggles. Thank you so much -- my mom hasn't read that poem in a long, long time, and what a delight to read it again -- and awwww, there I am, in the boat! You and me and all our loved ones are dancing, dancing, dancing by the light of the moon.
And my dear, you inspire me, too -- you inspire me with your sweetness, your talent, your graciousness, and your beautiful, beautiful love-filled heart.
Purrs and snuggles and lots and lots of love from your sister,
Marilyn.
My Mom's Mom use to recite that poem to my Mommy when she was a little bean. Thanks Miss Peach, that gave my Mommy some warm memories.
i think you could auction your jouls, your beautiful cards and all of your art work, peachy.
i think it would be cool if we started a 'hope fund' here on the blogosphere. we could make donations as we're able, and then share the money when the needs arise.
i know a lot of people donate generously to local and national animal charities. my thought is that this fund could be more easily accessible...and available to those who might not necessarily meet the guidelines of any formal organization.
what do you think?
Wow, Peachy auctioning off her artwork, and starting a Hope Fund -- those are both very wonderful ideas, dear sister and brother!
Hope is so important -- and the Cat Blosophere is a place filled with love and hope.
Purrs and snuggles from your adoring sister,
Marilyn.
