MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

IT"S BOXING DAY at the COZY COTTAGE!!!

Lappdaddy made up these rules...we think #5 is silly!Mommies friend Barbara sent these tomatoes from Petaluma when our plant would not give us any one summer:)
Auntie Deb sent me Hazel...my first squillion!
A girl has to be frilled and thrilled!
Hmmmm, which color do I like the best? Red?
or yellow...
Hmmm I smell some Tennesee catnip in here!!!

I knew that one day I would fall in love with a special black cat.....
Cole's kitty Woody had her kittens in a box he made for her...Cole was 3 years old. Now he will be 11!

This looks like a very fun book...
The cat from Berlin
Played the violin.
The cat from Brazil
Caught a very bad chill.
The cat from Greece
Joined the police.
The cat from Norway
Got stuck in the doorway.
The cat from Spain
Flew an aeroplane.
The cat from France

But MY cat likes to hide in boxes.

PURRRRING FOR MY MICKEY!

My beloved mancat Mickey is at the dentist right now...I am hurrying to be beside him when he wakes up from his sleep. I hope that his teeth will not be too hurty. I know that I am feeling so very much better now that my teeth do not hurt anymore...I even get to have all my favorite crunchie munchies again just like before. Mommy does not have to grind them up in an old coffee grinder anymore! Well, I better get moving now as it is a long way to Nova Scotia. I will be back on Friday with all of my box pictures...you will like them! Tea and tuna puff crumpets will be served all day along with saucers of French vanilla milk...see you all then!

SUMMERY MOODS.....

Mommy was not watching me and I took that moment to help myself to her cereal. She puts a tad of sweet French vanilla coffee creamer in with the milk...oh how yummy!! Poor Buddy...the slamming screen door at our neighbors house sent him running madly down our sidewalk for cover under the thick hostas and Sweet Williams in our garden. He is so like the cowardly lion from The Wizard of Oz.
Here is a Color Magic Rose in a 'before' the sun and 'after' the sun mood. We love this magic rose!

Yesterday was Flag Day. Hunny Bunny spent quite a bit of time laying on the cobblestone sidewalk by our garden flag. She played with ants and rolly pollies, then gave Buddy an upper cut when he came to close to the door.

CAT ART SUNDAY...Already Sunday again!?

I just do not know who keeps stealing my time. It is going way to fast. Just yesterday it seems like it was Sunday and here again another one...do you ever have such weeks? We worked in the garden to clean it a little bit on Saturday. There has been so much wind and lots of tree poop from the neighbors nasty trees. Mommy says some very adult words at times about it. Maybe she should make herself an adult drink like Parker's mommy did... Today we saw Buddy come strolling down the cleaned up sidewalk. I noticed that he has a wound on his front shoulder/elbow, about the size of a quarter. We think he might have been in a fight. We REALLY want to hug him now and get a closer look. I hope he licks it clean. Poor guy is such a big cat but has not learned to apply that presence yet... Today's cute cat art card (made by artist Barbara Simpson CCCC) is how we wish Buddy could spend his life...resting on a soft pillow safe from all harm knowing he is welcome and loved. Wishing all of my dear friends a beautiful happy week...

FINALLY FRIDAY...

Oh it has been a long week...we are looking forward to the weekend. Relaxing is on the ticket!
I started early last night by sitting next to mommy on her dress. It was warm so she took out her pretty paper fan . The rose Lapdaddy cut for her is called 'Color Magic'. It is my favorite because of it's peachy color! The magic comes in when it stays in the sun...it changes it's color to a deep pink. We always ask Lapdaddy to rescue them before that happens, and bring them inside for us to enjoy...

I thought you might like to see a picture of Buddy relaxing out in the garden yesterday. We called his name and he turned around. Mommy wants so badly to hug him tight...please keep your paws crossed that this will happen before the summer is over.

CAT ART SUNDAY

Welcome to the cozy cottage on Cat Art Sunday. Above is one of our favorite birdhouses. Since we love flowers here in our garden, we wanted to show you the pretty rings that my friend Miss Tinkerbelle is giving away. All you need to do is enter a comment on her blog which ring you like best in her mommies Etsy Shop, and you could win two of them. One for your mommy and one for any friend you have! Click on the little pink bird in my sidebar to go there.
Don't you just love these little simple wild looking roses? They are very tiny and named Ballerina. Sometimes when I play mommy calls me a ballerina because I am so skinny and light on my paws when I play. Finally the CAT ART today...a tiny meezer kitty on a bed of floofy curly furs...mine! Thank you for coming today...enjoy your Sunday and look forward to a wonderful week.

Finally Friday!

Mommy loves miniature roses better than tea roses. They are so pretty and bloom without any fuss. Her favorite one is called STARS AND STRIPES. The blooms are the size of quarters. You can see my Lapdaddy in his pond fussing with his plants and Koi. It is an above ground pond that he designed himself. We have 2 Koi and 12 Schubunkin in there. They have long flowing fins and tails. They look like little mermaids gliding through the water.

As you can see, I have company. I must admit that I am not always very happy about it.
Can you tell from my frown that I want Hunny Bunny to go back out in the garden and stay off of MY lounger.
At least she did not get to play with my nip pillow that Miss Shirl & Angel sent me... I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend. Mommy will after she cleans up the mess from the wind storm that happened Friday evening. The patio looks like the Sahara desert!! Good thing she has a big leaf blower that cleans it up real good.

WE ARE GETTING GIFTS HERE!!!

Can you tell how much I love my new HAIRY BLANKET I won on aukshun from Peggy's Cats. It has gold hair and green yarns. I love it because it will keep me warm in summer and winter. See how big it is...like a bear skin rug almost. We vote these go into mass production on the blogosphere like Gizzy Quilts and Hammocks and Nip Raviolis and Sock Shelter Kitties and all the other cool stuff the beans make. We could start up a real nice shop called "Kitty Booteek" where it would be one stop shopping all year round...what do you think?
This is what mommy is going to get from Lapdaddy...
He is building her this beautiful shadow box table top. It will fit right on top of the big ottoman. Mommy designed it to display her tea cups and other seasonal pretty things under glass. We like to keep our Lapdaddy busy with woodworking projects. At first he just shook his head at this design...mommy always comes up with things that he doesn't think will work out right...but he usually changes his mind once everything is in place. He loves sawdust and we love what he does with wood. Now we just need to order the beveled glass tops from the glass shop. I will love putting my kitty paw prints all over it.
Today is the last day to bid on my aukshuns to benefit Charlie Taylor Cat...please scroll down and look at all the nice things one more time. There are some real nice bargains still.

RANDOM MONDAY MOODS...

This paradise of a rose is named 'EDEN'. If you only grow one rose in your garden, then this one must be the one! You can see for yourself why if you click to bigafy the photos. it is purrrrfect in every way. I want to keep this one mommy because it is my favorite color! No Peachy you can not have any of them because the will go to the kitties who stepped up to match the funds... Here is my grandkidbean Cole and Lapdaddy at McD's last week. Cole got a gifty from mommy...I think he was happy with it!
This is Cole and his daddy Oliver in Seattle when the Boston Red Sox came to town a few weeks ago.
We even got to watch them on TV while they were waiting to see who would finally win the game.
But the highlight of the weekend was this meeting! Cole got to meet his new hero Jason Bay before the game began. Jason's old coach from Gonzaga was sitting next to Cole and Oliver and they struck up a conversation that resulted in this once in a life time meeting for a little boy and his Hero. How cool was that?! Another weekend for the memory book of his life...he will treasure the signed rookie baseball card and baseball he was given.
