COTTAGE SCENES TO BEGIN THE WEEK...

 Looking up at the glorious sunset...it has to be a wonderful week!

 The roses and hostas are looking majestic...

 Here are our loyal ferals Lion and Scrappy Cat...they come each day for a nice nappy on the deck

 Their food is in the protected cubby and they have a nice water dish that we fill with freshness all the time...in the winter, it is heated so it does not freeze.  Lion is so sweet natured....I yearn to hold him and brush his fur.  He does not run from me but I can not get too close to him...will I ever...I wish for that...to cup his face and look into his eyes.  He knows he is safe in our yard and comes when I call his name.  He gets some special Rachel Ray dry food that he loves!  I think he is special!
Wishing you all a wonderful beginning of June...I know ours is going to be special because Cole will be coming for the summer on Tuesday!

MEMORIAL DAY...we remember

 We pause to remember those who lay in Flanders's fields...those who gave all so we can be free.

 We would shower them with roses...these are the Eden roses blooming beautifully by the arbor gate this year

 This ATC is one of mommies favorite ones she got in a swap...we honor all soldiers this day.  The ID tag belongs to mommies uncle who was in the French Foreign Legion...he never came home from Indochina in 1954...the year mommy was born...we do treasure his memory.  We treasure those who touched our hearts...gone but never forgotten

ANOTHER PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY...

 This is a late post because we have been lazy...as you can see...I am hanging out with my Lapdaddy.

 we spent a lot of time reading and sleeping...we me tucked in under his arm...

 more sleeping....with me keeping watch over him.  There is no better way to spend a weekend.  Hope your days are happy and full of dreams come true.

 This is Lion Kitty...he is a big boy, sweet tempered but feral...we have been taking care of him and Scrappy Cat for many many years

 Hostas and roses and blue columbine are doing so well this spring...my pink roses grow in the shade!

OUTSIDE A SUNNY SUNDAY WINDOW...

A good cottage garden should have lavender and roses growing outside the front door...I am watching them coming along in the sunshine today.  This used to be my sister Hunny Bunny's job...I am not quite sure I can fill her paws, but I will try very hard.
