 a selfless mothering caretaker...

 from life through a knot hole...

 to our side of the fence...

 to first basic comfort from the cold winds...

 slowly learning to trust the hands that feed...

 to becoming the quiet regal queen of the cozy cottage...

WONDERFUL DAYS...

Our days are wonderful right now filled with sun and sweet spring breezes on the air...I got to go outside to see for myself...but just until Scrappy Cat came around the corner...then my blissful time was over and I was back inside the my house safe on the window seat.  She always spoils my fun like Harley does for Daisy only in a much worse way!

Cole is having such a fun time at the cozy cottage...he and Lapdaddy spent the evening playing all sorts of games and then we watched some vintage Honeymooners episodes...a great start to the week!

This will be the most heartwarming 18 minutes you will see today...make yourself a cuppa coffee and please watch this. (If your heart breaks at the sight of a kitty who has passed on, do not watch from minute 8 to 9:40) I know there are kitties all over this world who need a chance to be loved...but these kitties in the cemetary in Spain can have a chance at feeling the touch of a loving human and a place of safety if we all just find it in our hearts to give a dollar or two...we know how quick that can add up to a much needed sum.  While we can not help every cat in the world...we have a chance to make a difference in one feline life at a time.  In a way, we are all cast offs...recycled humans and cats alike.  Please pray for these kitties and the humans who are dedicated to helping them.  My friend cat Anja in Germany is having an auction on her blog of some handcrafted smalls...they are adorable and inexpensive...we bought the little flowered birds!  Come and see and make a difference...it feels good in your heart!  We love your giving spirit in the cat blogosphere...thank you for caring!  Happy Sunday!!

GUESS WHO!!!

Some one very special is being picked up at the airport today...he will be flying all by himself for the first time...coming from Denver!  It is going to be a wonderful spring break at the cozy cottage...have you guessed who it is yet?  COLE is coming to be with us!!!  Our first stop will be a Papa Joe cheeseburger at ZIPS!  Oh it will be a fine time for sure...

Last night I spend hours looking at my old blog posts...I was missing my little red girl so much that my arms ached and my heart nearly burst with each picture of her I saw...I chose this one to share with you because it is one of Lapdaddy's favorites.  ML and Auntie Deb sent this little jewelry pouch and Peach wanted to play dress up with it...I think she looks a bit Jane Austin and I know Daisy would approve of the style...

 Cancer comes in many colors...it touches all of us.  Everyone will be touched by it's dreadfullness in their lifetime...we all have empty arms that ache to be filled once more by a beloved who has lost the battle.

 Ooooooh it is soft and pretty and oh so cozy...what was I thinking all this time not being thankful I have a mommy who loves me and wants me to feel special...we are soory we have not posted much this week.  Our router will not let us stay on line for long and keeps kicking us to the curb.  Lapdaddy will buy is a new one next week and then life will be good again at the cozy cottage...we wish you all a wonderful St. Patricks day and don't eat too much corned beef!

 look what she bought me...it would be better if she helped me blog more and visit my friends!!

I think I will just pout a little bit and sleep next to it instead!  Mommy said that she tried to make a post each evening so far this week but the connection was broken and Lapdaddy was already asleep (we are night owls, don't ya know) and she did not want to wake him to fix it because he goes to work earrrrrrly in the morning.  All I say is EXCUSES MOMMY!!

ONE YEAR IN HEAVEN...

It has been one year since our sweet Mickey Moonshine left for the rainbow bridge.  He was a precious kitty boy who loved his window and eating grass.  Most of all he loved my wonderful little Miss Peach for four years...we will never forget you Mickey!

WHIPPED CREME CAT...

 Mommy loves to rub my tummy...but I was sleeping so peaceful that she did not want to wake me.  I love to have my tummy rubbed and often plop right down on my back or run and jump up on the bed when mommy goes into the bedroom.  I am always up for some belly skitching...  Mommy says my white fluffy fur reminds her of whipped creme.  Right now I am leaving little tuffts of my whip creme all over the carpets...mommy rolls them up in the palm of her hands until they look like little pussy willows...she has them all lined up on the kitchen window sill....wonder what she is up to...knowing mommy, it will be cool!  I am just glad that I am a very useful cat around the cozy cottage!

CAT BRAINS...

 ALL the parts of my cat brain are waiting for Spring time to arrive...

WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD...we remember one fine summer day at the cozy cottage

Time keeps slipping into the future but today we want to slip back to a fine summer day when all was well and wonderful at the cozy cottage...a beautiful day with a fine young boy and his little red cat.  Now Miss Peach watches over us from her cloud in the heavens...now Cole calls me from a far away place...far to far for my comfort as a grandmother...a place he calls Tebow Town.  You see, Cole has moved to Denver so his stepdaddy can build a new Veterans hospital there.  You will remember that Cole has been living in Prineville Oregon for sometime while the Facebook Headquarters was being built...that is finished and now he is farther from the cozy cottage than ever and we are sad...  Cole will be able to visit on school holidays and during the summer...we have to learn to be patient and look forward to good times still to come...Spring break is the last week this month.  Keep your paws crossed that we can get him up here!
On another note...my PC has a worm in it and it will have to go to the doctor for a few days to get it pulled out...so we will be off line for a bit so don't worry about us but don't forget us either.  We love you all and will miss you...
