It has been such a lovely weekend at the cozy cottage...content kitties...
a beautiful sunset to end another day...a day filled with good coffee, some naps and even some creative rubber stamping. I even found some time to organize some of my craft drawers...January is a good time to begin decluttering. We are just happy to be able to do ordinary things that many would find very boring...but we feel blessed. We wish you a wonderful Sunday surrounded by those you love and may you find some tiny momments of bliss yourselves!
Those ordinary things are what life is made of. The mom calls the small, good things about the day "strawberries," from a Buddhist or Zen story she ready a number of years ago (about tigers above and below and one wild strawberry within reach).

ReplyDeleteYes, it's amazing how useful and comforting to just clean out ONE drawer! I have so much of that kind of thing to catch up on but finally worked on ATCs yesterday. It was good to get back to it.

We had a bit more snow last night but sun today so we're hoping for a warming trend this week.

It can be hard for our mom to find the energy in winter to do very much, but you are right it is the best time to tackle those small projects that need doing and don't take too much concentration.

What a gorgeous picture of you, Miss Lena, and so was that sunset. It's hard to believe Mommy has clutter because her home always looks clean, beautiful and well organized. I have to keep my stuff in boxes to prevent Tiny from getting his paws on them.
