My 35 year old Steiff Ratty has lost his ears....wonder how that happened? If you click on the last picture, you can see what the Ratty is suppose to look like new and how much it will cost to replace it...I do not think we will make that investment...
Oh oh - who could have done that?
ReplyDeleteWell Miss Hope, things get old and things fall off ;) heehee
ReplyDeleteGo with that excuse :)

ReplyDeleteHehehe, Bella did the same with our Steiff Guinea Pig.
ReplyDeleteOn sunday she found my real old Steiff Peky which I left on the table to take a photo for the bloggie.
She had time enough to remove the sign....grrrrrr....

We know how Ratty lost his ears--the infamous, "Not me!"
ReplyDelete(By the way, you are obviously very special to play with a Steiff rat!)
One of your kitties has very expensive tastes! We can't afford those kinds of pet toys here! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWE think he just got deaf, like old people do! Maybe Mom can sew his ears back on!
ReplyDeletemiss hope...

Well, they are only "things" and we can't take them with us...but it is too bad such a treasured little ratty lost his ears. Sounds like Mom Karla has a high spirited kitty living with her!
ReplyDeleteOOOOPs.... oh well.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. What happened to ratty. I rather think he will be getting patched up.. Hugs GJ x
ReplyDelete35 is old for a ratty right Hope?! What does that make him in rat years? 245 years old? Obviously his ears fell off from old age! (we think that is the story you should stick to Hope. . . :p)
ReplyDeletethe critters in the cottage xo
Oh Hope! Mes hopes your Mommy is super good with a needle and thread! If not, wes knows a teddy bear Dr in England....

Nellie
That sure is one very expensive stuffed mouse. I bet you wanted to let Mom know you are a very good mouser and any mouse that gets into the house better watch its ears especially Mickey.
ReplyDeleteMeowm so understands. Years ago, before she knew about Steiffs, she bought a fox and took the pin out of his ear. She so wishes she hadn't done that now. But then she went to Europe and was in Germany, so she purchased a blue bear and a polar bear. And she kept the tags/pins in t he ears on those. So sorry your rat got beat up!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, poor old Ratty. Well it couldn't have happened in a nicer way :) I do hope she didn't eat the Steiffy button???!
