I have looked at this card from my friend Lorraine each day since Lena has been gone...we have some of the feelings listed but our broken hearts remain. It has been a long quiet week and we are still too sad for many words...the best way I can explain how I feel is like a mother who gives up her child because she knows there is a better home for it.
Peace to all at the Cozy Cottage today and always. Remember that empty, broken hearts are often repaired and refilled in unexpected ways. Hold tightly to the love being sent to you from so many places.

ReplyDeleteAs a breeder, who also has 2 kitties right now that were returned due to behavior issues...I am grateful, as Diane is, to have them back and to help them on their way to a new home that will be right for them...and if that home isn't out there, well, they have a home here, that is a great comfort to both me and to the families who gave them up...

All the joy leads to a terrible sadness when things don't turn out as planned. I know Lena will get a new home just perfect for her. We are sending hugs and purrs from our house.

PeeEss: Mom does indeed make coffee with a "Melita" filter.
That way, the coffee is always fresh ;)
Soon your broken hearts will mend and the pieces will fall back into place again. Miss Lena would not want you to feel sad that things did not work out. She knows you still love her. Please be at peace knowing that you did the right thing.
