WHY CAN'T WE BE FRIENDS??

To honor my Uncle Joe who is having his cancer surgery today I am showing how animals can love each other. Thank you for all of your prayers for his recovery.

~THE DOG, THE CAT, THE RAT~

This is a video of a homeless guy in Santa Barbara and his pets. You
can see these guys every week working State St. for donations.
The animals, as you can see, are pretty well fed, and I can attest to
how mellow they are. They are a family.
The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she
wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some
juncture the rat came along, and as no one wanted to eat anyone else,
the rat started riding with the cat and often, on the cat!
The dog will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire his
altruistic, we are one personality for a few chin scratches.
The Mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a
Christmas card.

  2. Oh what a wonderful, wonderful clip to have shared with us all Miss Peach! :) We are purring for Uncle Joe's operation to go as well as possible and for him to recover quickly after it... As for us today I've been thinking of how much life has changed for the better since my 'sis moved in about 14 months ago now! So more expressions of animal love captured by My Mummy's camera, including one that really made me blush at the time... Honestly Isis is through when it comes to cleaning! ;)

  22. We hope your Uncle Joe is going to be well again soon and get back to looking out for animals that need to be rescued.

We hope that the man and dog, cat and rat do find somewhere nice to stay. Lynettea thought that the Mayor should be looking for a nice place for them to go home to if he is using them on his postcard.

She is a very practical person.
