A DECEMBER MANY YEARS AGO...

my beloved Miss Peach with her Christmas quilty she got from dear Junior...precious memories...each day weaves a new memory...one that your soul will recall someday when your heart feels empty.

LET PLAY FOCUS!

 It is not easy to get good pictures in the darkness of the evening with only the Advent candle shedding it's light in the cozy cottage...but we tried and I posed quite well.  In the top snap, mommy focused on the foreground of the berries and you can see I am slightly out of focus in the back.

 In this snap it is reversed...I am in focus and the berries are softy out of focus.  Below the whole image is in focus.  Play with your macro setting for close up details and have fun with your camera (yes, that means YOU Roberta!!)  Hope everyone had a wonderful first Advent Sunday...mommy put out this electric old fashion candle light so she would not worry about lit candles burning up my furs...

CATCHING SNOWFLAKES IS HARD WORK!!

I hope you had a wonderful THANKSGIVING with lots of treats.  The garden kitties got a whole Frisbee full of turkey...it was empty in no time!  They are also keeping warm in the straw filled kitty condo Lapdaddy built for them.  That is a good thing because it is getting a bit of a winter chill in the air around here.  We have had the fireplace on and mommy gave me Miss Peach's blue down vest to put under my blanket in the window...now it is warm and poofy.  So let the snowflakes fly!!! Tonight we light the first advent candle...as we do, we remember our sweet Miss Peach...

KEEPING AN EYE ON THINGS...

 We had some tiny snow flakes fall from the autumn sky yesterday...

 they did not stay long...maybe they did not like it because it was not December yet...

 today the sun came out and warmed the frost air a little bit...

 I asked mommy to let me go outside so I could keep an eye on things under the rose bush...so far so good...no Scrappy Cat in sight...

SLEEPING THE DAY AWAY...

What could be better than to nap in the soft sunlight of a beautiful autumn day...just look at all the colors of fall out my window...bright lemon yellow on the rugosa rose, pumpkin orange on the cherry tree and the watermellon red of the dogwood leaves...oh the glory of this season makes mommies heart soar!  zzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZ

HOME AND HAPPY ON SUNDAY!!!

 I am so glad my beans are home again!  I got some treats right away that the church lady got special just for me...I have never had any treats like this before...they are yummy too! 

The beans were gone on Veterans Day so we are posting these awesome pictures today in honor of our service men who hold us furries close for comfort during very hard times away from their families...GOD BLESS our soldiers and bring them all home safe for the holidays!

MONDAY IN THE FRONT WINDOW...

I love sitting in the front window and having the sun shine on my furs.  My mohair blanket that Miss Peach gave me is always waiting for my afternoon nap.  Mommy is going to have  some of the most wonderful banana nut bread she ever tasted to go along with her coffee and I will get some special Temptation treats later.  Our dear friend Desert Rose spoiled us with a goody bag at church yesterday...friends with loving hearts are worth more than gold!  We wish you a most wonderful week...the beans are going to Leavenworth for a quick trippy...I will guard the house and take lots of naps.



THE THANKFUL MONTH BEGINS...WITH GIFT OF LOVE

 The butterfly fairie has come to live at the cozy cottage...she flew all the way up here from the Sherwood Forest in Texas with greetings from ML and Auntie Deb attached.

 She also brought the most wonderful gift of vintage German scrap pages...these are a true treasure and mommy cried when she saw them because she remembered having them as a child in Bavaria...her Opa used to bring them for her often when he returned from town.  Below is the white kitty that came to live with our bunnies on the fireplace mantle...we adore her and the bunnies think she is just too sweet!

Our last gifty they sent along was the MY CAT quilty with a picture of me on, it Miss Hunny Bunny!!!  We are so thankful for the kindness and thoughtfulness of our friends.  They help to heal the Peach shaped hole in our hearts with their love...
