MISS PEACH'S COZY COTTAGE

Welcome to the COZY COTTAGE. This is the furever home of the memory of Miss Peach, our 18 year old Devon Rex angel kitty. I am Miss Hunny Bunny, she asked me to pour you a cuppa catmint tea as you read our old fashion mewsings about this and that. Please come by often...one lump or two? Now our precious Hunny Bunny is also an angel cat...please let me be your hostess at the cozy cottage...my name is Miss Hope.

Remember...only in our tomorrows will we realize what we had in our yesterdays.

A MESSAGE FROM GOD...

Last night mommy prayed under the starry sky and as she did, a star shot it's way down to earth. She gathered up the silvery beams and tucked them safe inside her pocket. Thank you God for letting her know you heard her prayer... Later when she came inside to read her email...the message at the bottom was waiting...
To:YOU Date:TODAY From:GOD Subject:YOURSELF Reference: LIFE
This is God. Today I will be handling All of your problems for you. I do Not need your help. So, have a nice day. I love you. And, remember... If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, do Not attempt to resolve it yourself! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours. Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life now. Should you decide to send this to a friend; Thank you. You may have touched their life in ways you will never know! Now, you have a nice day. God<><
Please keep us in your prayers dear friends, that all will be well for which we prayed. We thank you kindly.

CAT ART SUNDAY

While it is so hot here in the desert that we could lose our minds...we went inside and make this pretty ATC for mommies Cat Card Club Then we found this old calendar page that shows exactly what is going on in my friends Bonnie, Nicki and Maxi's garden in Germany. I wonder if they saw the movie Caddy Shack..."I'm all right...don't no body worry bout me"
Fluffy's mommy Helena sent me this pretty Victorian kitty card. The little girl has me on her dress train. We love this image...
I have to tell you it has been very noisy here at the cozy cottage. It is Hydro boat races here on the Columbia River and napping has not been easy out on the patio.
Tomorrow I am going to introduce you to a few of my special friends from around the world who have a....hmmmm how shall I put this delicately....a rather portly waddle around their tummies. I am going to have a contest to see who wins having the "Biggest Waddle Contest". There will be a poll in my side bar for you to vote on all week. We need some fun to offset our sadness of the past week. So please come back...and have a wonderful Sunday until you do.

MAIL CALL AT THE COZY COTTAGE!

Come sit and join us for an iced mocha coffee at the cozy cottage today...
it is going to be another real hot day and this will taste yummy in your tummy! It is all about mail here today that came for ME this week. My special tiny friend Normie who is in Heaven sent me this Los Angeles Times special memorial for Michael Jackson and some FREE Party Mix coupons. Michael and I are related because we have the same last name.
My dearest friend TT who is also in Heaven with Normie and Michael sent me a wedding gift. She arranged for her tiny girlbean to make a beautiful drawing of Mickey and me in our garden surrounded by sunshine, blue sky's, green grass and my Lapdaddy's pond filled with our fish. He loved looking at it and said that she even got the shape of the pond correct. If you bigafy the picture, you can see the herbs she has growing for us. Then the amazing thing is that she send me a bouquet of catnip neatly tied with a string and some cat mint leaves sealed in a food saver bag!! All I can say is this little girl name Rhiannon really knows how to put together a wedding gift. I love it so much and it is very original. Mickey and I thank you ever so kindly Rhiannon.
Mommy's dear friend Miss Valery, who has two beautiful tiny white fluffy doggies, sent us the most amazing Lavender blossoms we have ever smelled in our lives! They came with this pretty card and were sealed in this new sticky wrap stuff that was fun for me to play with.
Mommy said she will put it in a small bowl in her bedroom so she can have aromatherapy. Billie's mommy Lorianna sent us this amazing package filled with her beautiful artwork and a sweet letter. That can of Fancy Feast will make a nice Sunday meal for me. The bad news is that that yummy chocolate is all gone already. This house has too many chocoholics in it!
So as you can see, the man in the blue shorts has been busy here at our mailbox!
Before you go home, please read this amazing story...you might not believe it!
Liège, Belgium 1879
Thirty-seven plucky mail cats were trained and employed to carry bundles of letters (and postcards) to nearby villages.
Miss Peach: "Cats delivering mail? You've finally lost it!"
Mommy: "This is history!"

A LITTLE BIT OF SUGAR...in Heavens coffee

SUGAR
~~~SUGAR~~~
Soft and gentle in the quiet of the dawn,
the butterfly angel came to carry me home...
I was still dreaming of the cat I used to be
and wondering when will it be time for me...
to the rainbow bridge with my rainbow wings
a tranquil place full of magical things...
this journey out of your arms takes us apart,
but always and forever I will be inside your heart!
(adapted by Miss Peach from a poem she wrote last year for Neelix)
WONDERFUL WISHES OF A WEDDING DAY SOON
The other night mommy gave me a little bit of my special catnip in the coffee can. I sure slept well after that and had a wonderful dream of my wedding to Mickey. We will definitely have a nice little wedding and not elope. Thank you all who voted in our poll... Mommy is helping me try on so many wedding dresses but I wanted to play dress up with the beautiful lace table cloth out on the patio tea cart. First I crumpled it all up...arranged it just so... Then I climbed under it like I was trying on my wedding dress...
See how pretty it is...I know I want a very lacy gown that's for sure!
This looks like I am wearing my bridal veil...
Getting ready to have Mickey fold it back off of my head for that first blushing kiss after we say our, "I DO's".........
Ahhhh the stuff of dreams and wishes. Nat King Cole once sang a song with the words, "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is to love and be loved in return". So I am wishing you all love love and more love in this mid week mewsing.
MOODS ON MONDAY...
So how was your weekend? We had a wonderful one even if it was hot. It ended up purrrrrfectly last night as you can very well see. Listen close and you can hear the cricket concert and the waterfall of the pond. Stay tune... the rest of this story will unfold on Wednesday. Catnip gives kitties some wonderful dreams....Mommy even gave some to Buddy and guess what happened...he drooled all over the deck! What is up with that behavior? I thoughts cats ruled and dogs drooled!
We ask that you keep sweet KellyKat's kitty SUGAR in your best purrrayers. She was mauled by a pack of wild dogs and they hurt her bad. Sweet Hansel is having a raffle to help with her vet bill. His linky is on my sidebar. Tickets are $3 for three pair of bling ear rings. Hang in there sweet girl and get better...
WORDLESS WEDNESDAY...almost
Hi, my name is Buddy. I am a scairty cat who has no friends except the beans who feed me here at the cozy cottage garden. The lady here thinks I am Hunny Bunny's kittens daddy. But a real gentleman never tells such things. For the first time yesterday I did not run away when she came to being me a special bowl of crunchies. She knelled down and I let her pet me carefully from my head to the end of my body over and over while I ate my special treat. I have lived in this garden one year now and think it is about time I began to trust. The lady says that I am a very handsome and special kitty...it is so nice to meet all of you, love your friend Buddy XOXOX
CAT ART SUNDAY~AUCTION FOR SHADOW
Hello dear friends and welcome to my weekly CAT ART SUNDAY. Today I want to show these beautiful sweet Salt & Pepper shakers I found at an antique shop. They are adorable. The kitty reminds me of Hunny Bunny, so prim with her pink nose and proper while she sleeps in her cozy arm chair. The set is 3 X 3.5 inches and will need some rubber stoppers or cork ones to keep the spices inside. I would just use duct tape:) The green papers from this sale will go to help sweet Shadow with her mounting Vet bills. She is home now and getting lots of rest. You can bid all week until Friday at midnight. Leave your bids in the comments....oh and I will include a little surprise for the winner!! Thank you kindly for your consideration and love.
Please visit Miss Hunny Bunny again tomorrow where she will reveal some very sexy legs while she models my Lapdaddy's birdhouses he made this month. We will have smelling salts handy for Seaborne...
